Does a nice job of lowering his pad level in contact and possesses good knee bend with the ball in his hands. Tends to run with high pad level in open space and could generate more power with better flexibility. Capable of going up high to catch passes over head.

With very good change of direction ability he has the capability of planting his foot and driving up field when he sees a crease open up. Utilizes a jump cut to make defenders miss in the open field and at the line of scrimmage.

An explosive back with powerful legs and impressive leg drive capable of bursting through holes and into defenders. Can accelerate almost immediately when he sees a hole open up.

Very good speed to beat defenders to the sideline and the breakaway speed to be a big play threat every time he touches the ball. Doesn't have the long speed to outrun defensive backs and can occasionally be caught from behind.

He has suffered three season ending injuries while at Oklahoma, including a leg fracture, severe neck injury and a knee injury. He has played one full season at Oklahoma. One of the top running backs in the class, but he will fall to day 3 due to injury risk.

In his limited time playing, he has shined helping to lead Oklahoma to the CFP in 2017 during his healthy campaign. Players can't produce when they are hurt and that has been Anderson's story to date.

He is offering his support while he sits out the season with a knee injury. He never gives up on his team.

STRENGTHS:

A big back with great athleticism that consists of his foot quicks, lateral agility, change of direction, while displaying excellent contact balance. He has good vision and can see plays develop bursting through the hole utilizing his jump cut if a crease or cut back lane opens up. A strong and capable runner with good knee bend and powerful legs to push piles and run through defenders. Possesses the talent to avoid defenders in the open field and the versatility to line up all over the field in passing situations to keep the defense guessing when he is in the lineup providing a mismatch against linebackers when asked to run the route tree. Has shown solid hands and the ability to catch balls thrown low and away or overhead. A key special teams player capable of returning kicks and assisting on coverage.

WEAKNESSES: 

He's suffered three season ending injuries throughout his four year career at Oklahoma ranging from a leg break and knee issues to his neck. Has concerning off field issues and was charged with rape; however, the charges were dropped. A downhill runner who lacks the patience necessary to wait for cutback lanes and holes to develop. Has trouble creating for himself on every play. Stands tall with high pads in the open field losing leverage and power in contact. Over extends in pass protection, and can lose balance against quicker defenders. Often reaches for the defender instead of engaging. Needs to stay square in pass protection rather than turning his shoulders.

BIG PICTURE: 

He lacks experience having only played one full season at the collegiate level due to three season ending injuries. His off field issues are concerning and will need to be analyzed in interview portions. Based on talent alone. He is a raw runner with tons of upside, and the potential to be a three down workhorse in the NFL fitting in all schemes. He is a downhill runner with good quickness, agility and power, while possessing the versaitility to line up anywhere on the field assisting in the passing game. If he is given the opportunity to develop and play as a three down back, he will flourish at the next level. Health permitting.
