Very strong hands and a stout blocker. He is also a smart player knows how to win one on one battles, even if a player attacks a weakness. Very good at climbing to the next level and making outside zone blocks. Fantastic pass blocker, he is quick getting in his set and doesn't go outside of his abilities. He knows how to let pass rushers beat themselves. A great communicator and leader. I also think he will be able to play Tackle or Guard.
He doesn't have a quick kick slide, so speed rushers can give him trouble. He is good at combating this deficiency though and doesn't get beat often. He is also vulnerable to an inside move and know why, because he has strong hands. Clemson also didn't pull their Tackles, so I can't exactly say he is good at it. However all of his other abilities, lead me to believe he can do it.
Carman is very talented player and someone who is solid in all aspects of his position. He is a great communicator on the line, which is a key factor that I look for. An offensive line needs to work as a unit, so it's vital to it's success that they know what each other are going to do. He has the frame and ability to play inside or out, so I think he is going to be attractive to a lot of teams. For being a big lineman, he moves upfield really well. I think he will end up being a late first rounder, but has the skills to become one of this draft's best linemen. I think he can be a great fit in almost any scheme and will be a very versatile piece on the line.
