Very big OT, with long arms. He has strong arms and hands, which allows to stop most pass rushers. He is smart and knows how to use his length to domite his opponents. Has a really quick pass set and good kick slide to quickly combat a speed rusher. He is very physical and uses his imposing size to open running lanes. Has good lateral agility and a fantastic pull technique. He can smoothly climb to the second level and loves mauling smaller player.
Has an awkward stance, which causes him to stand too straight when blocking. This also cuts down his lateral agility, because when you're standing too high it's difficult to make quick movements. I think this hurts him when adjusting in space too. Doesn't have a lot of flexibility in the hips, so a pass rusher who can dip and keep moving will give him trouble. Doesn't have the best power move when countering an inside rush, but that can also be attributed to standing too tall again.
Brown is very big Tackle with a lot of potential, but he is definitely a project for a team. He has all the tools you want to see in a NFL lineman, he just needs some refining and will have to bulk up some. Though he is tall and has a huge frame, he is a little too slim for his body. The most important thing that I feel will need to be fixed before he can become a starter, is his stance. He stands too high and open and has a bit of a lean. This to me is the catalyst of all his weaknesses, because when you don't have a solid base to start with, you are most likely going to make mistakes when the play starts. If he can fix his stance, he will have a better center of gravity and be able to make more controlled blocks. Unfortutely Northern Iowa did not have a season in 2020, so he didn't see action until the Senior Bowl. I think he is a midround pick with a ton of potential, but will need to go to a team who can slowly integrate him.
