Strengths

Jordan is an elite athlete at the tight end position. He flashed exciting elusiveness, contact balance and speed in the open field making him a dangerous threat. He runs like a freight train in open space. He is very versatile and can be lined up anywhere on the field and find success. He vastly improved his route running ability and route tree variety. He plays angry and is tough as nails. He is a more than willing blocker. He enjoys putting defenders in the turf on the perimeter. He does a great job of utilizing his hands to gain leverage and driving the legs to finish blocks outside. He showed great effort and strength as an in line blocker. He possesses good instincts when the play breaks down...he can turn nothing into something. He is a high motor guy, who loves the game of football.

Weaknessess

Jordan is undersized for the tight end position in the NFL. His tight hips and lack of balance in and out cuts causes poor or rounded routes. This causes him to struggle to create seperation. He tends to let the ball into his body, which causes drops. He does not fair well with catching balls in traffic and lacks the vertical leaping ability to come down with 50/50 balls. Although, he is a willing blocker...his technique needs refinement. He too often gets his hands outside or does not drive his legs. This causes him to struggle to maintain blocks in the run game and creates holding penalties.

Big Picture

Jordan is an exciting and intriguing tight end prospect. Although, he is undersized. He offers a lot of versatility. He can line up in the slot, on the perimeter, in the backfield or as the traditional Y. This versatility comes from his unique athletic skill set. He is elusive and looks to steam roll people when he has the ball in his hand. He is a unique talent after the catch. He is an uber physical guy, who loves contact. He is a willing and capable blocker both on the perimeter and on the line. However, his technique will need to be cleaned up for him to be a legit blocker in the NFL. The major concern for Jordan is his catching ability. Too often he lets the ball into his body. He also struggles to come up with catches in traffic, due to his limited height and vertical leaping ability. This is concerning as tight ends typically go to guys when everyone else is covered. All in all Jordan is a high motor guy, who plays with a mean streak. He is a developmental project, but has the potential to be a solid TE2 chess piece for anytime that takes him and cleans up his routes and blocking. Expect Jordan to go on day 2 in the draft.

Jordan showed much improvement from 2019-2020 on his route running ability, but still needs more work to develop. He has a good release that is effective all over the field. He struggles to create seperation at times. He has a tendency to catch the ball with his body, which causes bobbles and drops. His catch radius is super limited due to his lack of vertical leaping ability and small frame. He displayed good spacing in the screen game and in zone coverage.

Blocking:

7

Jordan is an ultra physical blocker, who needs a little work with his technique. He does a good job of typically getting his hands inside for leverage. However, he sometimes hooks defenders causing penalties. He is an extremely exciting blocker on the perimeter, who loves to drive defenders out of the play. He tends to get his feet tied up in pass blocking and run blocking situations. He has potential to be a great blocker with his vicious leg drive, but needs time to iron out his technique flaws.
