Strengths

Very smart kid who could have gone to any school academically. Has versatility and enough athleticism to play mulitple roles in an offense, lining up in-line, in the slot, occasionally outside the numbers and even in the backfield. He does have good technique when blocking and understands his assingment and the blocking assingments when asked. He excels at find softness in zones and trying to get open. He is the safety net for the QB being able to explode off the ground while also providing a big catch radius combined with small hands who showed he can make tough catches.

Weaknessess

He lacks great speed and quickness making separation difficult. While blocking, he does not have great strength to dominate blocks or a mauling attitude. His motor is also inconsistent and does not always finish plays like you would like.

Big Picture

Kylen is a versatile player who can help in a few facets for a team. He does not have elite athleticism and will stretch the field and be a constant problem for defenses. As a receiver, he does not create a ton of separation outside of head movement and play design so he knows to how use his body to box defenders out and has strong hands and a big catch radius. He shows some ability to make a play after the catch but does not get many chances at that. As a blocker, he has good technique but lacks aggression and strength that will cause him to have issues at the next level. While he didn't allow many pressures, he often got pushed back at the LOS or was a temporary road block when blocking in space as he failed to latch onto defenders. As of right now, I see him being a special teams player and red zone contributor while he works on getting stronger for blocking and adjust to the NFL game and becoming a low. He is highly touted by coaches for being a smart kid and knowing everyone's assingments for given plays. He also has started his own non-prifts called KG's Kids while in college giving back to his community. He can be a late round draft pick that may have a chance to contribute regularly in a few years.

Athleticism:

6.25

7.25

He moves laterally good enough but his speed will not cause issues for defenses and is not making jaw dropping blocks. He is an average athlete that won't blow you away running routes or blocking but really shines in receiving. He has great explosino to jump and high point the ball but can also be flexible enough to get low and make tough catches. While you can't teach speed, he can work on his strength and make him more imposing while holding the athleticism he does have.

He is average getting off the line. Didn't see him go against press coverage but could see him having issues getting off the line in that situation. He ran a limited route tree and lacks great quickness so he struggled creating a lot of separation. He uses some head fake at the top of routes though to get the separation he can. He does show strong hands with a big catch radius making him a big target that knows how to high point a football.

Blocking:

6.4

While, overall, he does show good technique, he seems to lack aggression and strength. He rarely allowed a pressure but he is by no means a mauler of a blocker and often did just enough. He lacks leg drive and would get pushed back often with blocking at the LOS. In space, he too often missed blocks or would not be able to latch on to quicker DBs. He also does not always look for a second block.

Field Vision

I do not see much fire from him in the blocking game but he does like making big catches and is willing to go up and get it. He knows how to give himself the best chance at a pass and uses his body to box out when necessary. His motor is inconsistent when blocking. Even if the ball is near, he does not always look for a second block or run to the ball in case something happens.

Intelligence:

Shows natural tendancy to catch with his hands and bring the ball in. Showed great awareness of play and where first down was trying to get open when needed. He played various spots on offense, even getting a few carries during his career. High touted by coaches and teammates of being extremely intelligent and knowing everyones roles on each play.
