STRENGTHS
Long and athletic body frame that allows him to battle with any tackle he lines up across. Does a solid job at watching the play develop as he battles through blocks. Uses length to his advantage to create leverage against his man. Great use of hands in his pass rush moves, slaps arms out of the way to get to the quarterback.
WEAKNESSES
Needs to do a better job at setting the edge against the run, gets pulled inside, and allows runs to bounce outside. Would like to see a high-motor, has too many snaps where he looks like he is jogging out there. Could win more pass rush reps with a little more juice off the edge.
BIG PICTURE
Lewis is an interesting prospect, he has the size and athletic traits that will help him succeed at the next level, but the lack of juice combined with his injury history could hold him back. In Year 1 he offers a team an edge rusher that can provide value on 3rd downs due to his versatility in his pass rush moves. He uses leverage, hands, and can win with his spin move to get pressure on the quarterback. He needs some refinement in his run support, could set the edge better and needs to come down on the run with a little more effort. If he can get a defensive coach to light a fire in him, he can work on some technique in his game, and stay healthy, then he has plenty of ability to be a quality starter by Year 3. He has Pro Bowl potential in his ceiling and can be an impact player in a defense's pass rush.
