Strengths

Tune has strong athleticism with his elusiveness, explosiveness, and agility. He has a solid pocket mobility and can be a scrambler. Can fit in an RPO and Play Action Schemed offense. He has smooth footwork and can move well both in and out of the pocket. As a passer he has a smooth release and can be accurate throwing the ball in both short and intermediate lengths. He has a smooth delivery and has the ability to make a big play. Tune is also poise in the pocket as well and it is showcased through his pocket mobility. He can be a leader on and off the field and does a nice job improvising when things don't go to plan. Tune can make adjustments pre snap and he has solid field vision.

He can be a leader on and off the field and does a nice job improvising when things don't go to plan. Tune can make adjustments pre snap and he has solid field vision. Tune struggles to adapt when trying to avoid or adapting to pressure on a consistent basis. Tune does not have the greatest arm strength and is very limited as a passer. When looking at his ball placement, he is very inconsistent. Very inaccurate throwing the ball deeper. He needs to be quicker with his decision making as at times he holds onto the football too long and fails to react quickly. The obvious weakness is that he is on the older side of prospects in this class being 24 years old and has durability issues with constant Hamstring and Shoulder injuries. I have Clayton Tune as a 6th or 7th round prospect in the 2023 NFL Draft.

Purdy is a good athlete for the quarterback position. He excels when changing directions in small and tight areas, allowing him to move around the pocket and evade most rushers and big hits. He can move pretty well and while he doesn't have elite speed, he has enough of it to be a factor in the run game. His good flexibility in his hips and upperbody allow him to throw from a lot of different angle and use a variety of movements to avoid rushers.
