One interesting tidbit about this game is that Florida Atlantic is one of the only teams to beat Ohio State against the spread this year. For UAB to compete, their quarterback will need to be healthy. Tyler Johnston did not play in the last two games and the Blazers averaged two points less per game on offense.
The Degenerate Menace Says: Simple proposition here: If UAB can’t keep their defense off the field, they will be in a world of trouble. UAB gives up 18 points a game, so if they can play ball control, they will have a chance. Obviously, having Johnston under center will help keep the defense rested. The computer calls for a pretty good thumping by the hands of the Owls regardless of the Blazer quarterback situation. The fact that they are playing in Boca Raton will help matters.
