Blitzalytics Analysis

Line Michigan State (-3.5) Over/Under 50.5 Against the Spread - Wake Forest (6-6) Michigan State (3-9)

Wake Forest surpassed expectations by going 8-4 this season. However, they lost four of their last seven games. Michigan State performed well below expectations and needed a 3 point win against a poor Maryland team at home to sneak into bowl eligibility. Both teams are banged up to say the least. Four of the 10 key players for both teams are either out or questionable. The match-up to look at is the Wake Forest offense (scored 30 or more seven times) against the Michigan State defense (allowed less than 20 points seven times).

The Degenerate Menace Says: With Wake Forest on the downslide and Michigan State hanging their hat on a better than average defense, it will be interesting to see what the Demon Deacons do. The other part of the equation is the health of the Wake Forest quarterback. He is expected to play, but how effective he ends up being is another question entirely. Computer backs the Spartans and the points.

Prediction: Michigan State 26 - Wake Forest 19
