Blitzalytics Analysis

Line San Diego State (-3.5) Over/Under 41 Against the Spread - Central Michigan (9-3)

San Diego State (6-5)

This battle will pit two opposing forces against each other. Over the last eight games, the Chippewas have scored an average of 38 points per contest. Conversely, the Aztecs have given up only 10 points a game in the last four and only 12.8 for the season. All eyes will be in the San Diego State QB as he is currently nursing a hamstring injury and is questionable for the bowl. Defensively, Central Michigan needs to stay from Luq Barcoo as he is one of the FBS leaders in interceptions.

The Degenerate Menace Says: After averaging 47 points per game in the last three of the regular season, Central Michigan was surprised and manhandled by an underdog Miami-Ohio squad 26-21 in the MAC Championship game. Much like the Frisco Bowl, one still has to look at the schedule strength of both teams and it appears that SDSU has a better record against a high-quality schedule. The Chips will be hard-pressed to score 15 points in the game.

Prediction: San Diego State 28 - Central Michigan 14
