Blitzalytics Analysis

Line Western Kentucky (-3) Over/Under 53.5 Against the Spread - Western Kentucky (8-4) Western Michigan (6-6)

A couple of teams in the top three of their conferences meet at Gerald J. Ford Stadium to play in the First Responder Bowl. Both teams were in the hunt for their conference championships late into the season until some untimely losses derailed those dreams. The Hilltoppers lost to Marshall and Florida Atlantic in back-to-back weeks. Western Michigan only had to beat Northern Illinois in the last game of the season and ended up getting upset 17-14. The Broncos are also limping into this game with 12 players on the injury report.

The Degenerate Menace Says: This will be a toss up. Both teams have performed roughly the same from a record standpoint and both teams have a schedule strength that is pretty close. I like Wassnik at quarterback. He is a seasoned veteran who almost led the Broncos to the MAC title game. Let’s take them in the mild upset.

Prediction: Western Michigan 30 - Western Kentucky 28
