Blitzalytics Analysis
Line Georgia (-5.5) Over/Under 41 Against the Spread - Georgia (7-6) Baylor (9-4)
Both teams are coming off disappointing losses in their respective championship games. Georgia has some serious issues on the injury front which could hamper their performance. Baylor has made an unprecedented turn-around from last year and has a chance to finish with 12 wins. Both teams are built around outstanding defenses with none being better than Georgia’s. They check-in at 12.5 points per game and lead the country in that statistic. Baylor is one of the best in the BIG 12 at 19.3.
The Degenerate Menace Says: Georgia has a propensity of playing poorly after not meeting expectations. This was evident after their crappy performance in the Sugar Bowl against Texas last year. Baylor may have the same attitude as Texas as they have nothing to lose and want to show well against the SEC. The computer thinks that the schedule strength could be a factor here since Georgia has played LSU, Florida, and Auburn this year and went 2-1 in those match-ups. Let’s go with the Bulldogs.
Prediction: UGA 27 - Baylor 17
