Blitzalytics Analysis

Line Wisconsin (-3) Over/Under 51.5 Against the Spread - Wisconsin (7-6) Oregon (8-5)

This match-up for the Rose Bowl Game will be one of the more competitive in recent years as Oregon takes on Wisconsin. Both have Heisman candidates (Herbert and Taylor), both have outstanding defenses (16.1 and 15.7 PPG for Wisconsin and Oregon respectively) and both teams played outstanding in the respective championships. Both teams are also very close comparatively in the offensive and defensive yards per game.

The Degenerate Menace Says: The computer is mixed on this one with one set of ratings picking Wisconsin and the other picking Oregon. The Ducks have had mixed results playing against good defenses. They only scored 21 against Auburn but put up 37 against Utah. As far as the Badgers go, it really depends on which team shows up. Will it be the team that soundly thrashed Michigan and gave Ohio State a good run for a half in the Championship Game or will it be the team that lost to Illinois? I think the mixture of a good running game and better defense will carry the Badgers.

Predicted Score: Wisconsin 28 - Oregon 23
