Class Breakdown

Overall this is the deepest draft class I have seen in a long time. Unfortunately, there are so many good prospects, that I think you’re going to see some surprising names slip in the draft.

Offense: The offensive pool of players is absolutely loaded with talent and is a big change of pace, quarterbacks are the position with the least amount of prospects. The skill positions, however, are a different story, this class is going to be historic for its wide receiver talent. (Think 1983 QB class) From top to bottom the receivers are just good, the top 3 are generally known, but after that, it’s a real toss-up and will come down to team preference. The same can be said about running backs, there’s a plethora of talent and all kinds of running styles.

Defense: Defensively there is talent across the board. Every position has a ton of prospects and it’s going to be very interesting to see where people fall. To me, the linebackers are most intriguing because this is the most diverse group of LBs you will see. Isaiah Simmonds is the top of the class and can do anything you need, then there are players like Kenneth Murray who is your prototypical thumper of an LB.

I really think this is going to be the most exciting draft in a very long time and not just because there is literally nothing else happening in the world. For teams with no first-round pick don’t fret, because I truly believe this will be a draft that improves every team in the league.
