Blitzalytics Analysis

Line Clemson (-2) Over/Under 63.5 Against the Spread - Ohio State (9-4) Clemson (10-3)

An epic matchup that pits the ACC Champion Tigers versus the BIG-10 Champion Buckeyes. Needless to say, there are pro prospects all over the field for this game. Trevor Lawrence, after a slow start, ended with a 34-8 TD-INT ratio. Justin Fields has been otherworldly with a ratio of 40-1. The running backs are equally as impressive with Etienne and Dobbins running for a combined 3300 yards and 37 touchdowns. The defenses are also upper echelon with Ohio State giving up 12.6 PPG and Clemson standing at 10.6. It is agreed that both offenses will not have seen a defense like this in the regular season.

The Degenerate Menace Says: A lot of stink has been raised about the Clemson schedule strength. Sagarin agrees with this sentiment as Ohio State owns the 18th hardest strength of schedule and Clemson stands at 60. The thought here is that if Clemson has not been used to playing tight games (last eight games, Clemson margin of victory has averaged around 45 points). Another interesting component has been that Clemson has beaten the Buckeyes in the last two bowl/playoff games they have played. The computer seems to like the underdog Buckeyes in this one as they actually might have a better defense than the Tigers

Prediction: Ohio State 33 - Clemson 30
