This week I take on the challenge of drafting from the number 10 position in a 2QB format. Follow Blitzalytics across all your favorite social media platforms, as we’ll be releasing full mocks from each draft position for 12 team standard, 0.5 PPR, and 2QB standard leagues. These mocks were done using Fantasypros’ Mock Draft Wizard, and the roster settings for today’s mock are as follows: 2QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE, 1Flex (RB/WR/TE), D/ST (team defense), and K, 6 bench STANDARD scoring format. Make sure to check out last week’s mocks, and stay tuned later in the week for more!
Final Roster:
QB: Andrew Luck (IND)
QB: Matt Ryan (ATL)
RB: Kareem Hunt (KC)
RB: Jerick McKinnon (SF)
WR: Odell Beckham Jr (NYG)
WR: Demaryius Thomas (DEN)
WR: Devante Parker (MIA)
TE: Kyle Rudolph (MIN)
FLX: Mark Ingram (NO)
DST: Broncos (DEN)
K: Chris Boswell (PIT)
Bench:
RB: Marshawn Lynch (OAK)
RB: Aaron Jones (GB)
TE: Trey Burton (CHI)
WR: Christian Kirk (ARI)
WR: Keelan Cole (JAX)
QB: Tyrod Taylor (CLE)
Overview: I love this draft. I know my wide receivers fall off a bit of a cliff after Thomas, but I’ll take one last chance on Parker ( I can understand if you can’t), and think Kirk has a super high ceiling, and someone in Jacksonville has to catch the ball so I rolled the dice on the guy I like there. I am super happy at every other position. I have 5 starting level running backs, and in a standard scoring league I prefer to have an abundance of chances at multiple top 10 running backs. If Luck is truly back and 1 of my two flyer receivers late in the draft pan out, I think this could be a championship contending team.
Round 1:
1.1 Todd Gurley, RB (LAR)
1.2 Ezekiel Elliott, RB (DAL)
1.3 Le’Veon Bell, RB (PIT)
1.4 Aaron Rodgers, QB (GB)
1.5 David Johnson, RB (ARI)
1.6 Antonio Brown, WR (PIT)
1.7 Tom Brady, QB (NE)
1.8 Saquon Barkley, RB (NYG)
1.9 Alvin Kamara, RB (NO)
1.10 Kareem Hunt, RB (KC)
1.11 Deandre Hopkins, WR (HOU)
1.12 Melvin Gordon, RB (LAC)
Analysis: I know you probably think I am crazy for taking Hunt with OBJ and Hopkins both on the board, but at this point I had 5 guys and I wanted 2 of them. Hunt, Gordon, Odell, Nuk, and Julio Jones. I like Hunt just slightly more than Gordon, part of that may be the fact that Chargers are dropping like flies and it feels unlucky, so take that for what it’s worth. If this were PPR I would probably have taken one of the receivers but being standard I have a feeling that one of them will fall to me. I’ll cross my fingers and pray that it works out for me.
Round 2:
2.1 Leonard Fournette, RB (JAX)
2.2 Deshaun Watson, QB (HOU)
2.3 Odell Beckham Jr., WR (NYG)
2.4 Russell Wilson, QB (SEA)
2.5 Julio Jones, WR (ATL)
2.6 Keenan Allen, WR (LAC)
2.7 Cam Newton, QB (CAR)
2.8 Dalvin Cook, RB (MIN)
2.9 Drew Brees, QB (NO)
2.10 Michael Thomas, WR (NO)
2.11 Davante Adams, WR (GB)
2.12 Carson Wentz, QB (PHI)
Analysis: My gamble just paid HUGE dividends as Fournette and Watson both going between my picks leaves 2 of the 3 receivers I was targeting still on the board. It now came down to OBJ vs Julio and Odell is just to damn consistent over his career in terms of fantasy performance. For me, it was clear that OBJ was my guy.
Round 3:
3.1 A.J. Green, WR (CIN)
3.2 Jordan Howard, RB (CHI)
3.3 Devonta Freeman, RB (ATL)
3.4 Joe Mixon, RB (CIN)
3.5 Mike Evans, WR (TB)
3.6 Alex Collins, RB (BAL)
3.7 T.Y. Hilton, WR (IND)
3.8 Rob Gronkowski, TE (NE)
3.9 Christian McCaffrey, RB (CAR)
3.10 Jerick McKinnon, RB (SF)
3.11 Kirk Cousin, QB (MIN)
3.12 Adam Thielen, WR (MIN)
Analysis: Strong consideration was given to Adam Thielen here, but I can’t see him getting anywhere near the 140 plus targets he got last season, where as I see McKinnon having a huge role in the 49ers offense this year. I looked at the QB pool and though Andrew Luck made me look a second time before pressing the select player button, I ultimately couldn’t pass up on Jerick.
Round 4:
4.1 Lesean McCoy, RB (BUF)
4.2 Travis Kelce, TE (KC)
4.3 Andrew Luck, QB (IND)
4.4 Matthew Stafford, QB (DET)
4.5 Stefon Diggs, WR (MIN)
4.6 Larry Fitzgerald, WR (ARI)
4.7 Derrius Guice, RB (WAS)
4.8 Tyreek Hill, WR (KC)
4.9 Derrick Henry, RB (TEN)
4.10 Doug Baldwin, WR (SEA)
4.11 Amari Cooper, WR (OAK)
4.12 Zach Ertz, TE (PHI)
Analysis: It is going to be a LONG time before I get to pick again and I still don’t have a single QB on the roster. I sense a run coming any moment now. I can’t risk going much further without pulling the trigger on what I think will be a top tier guy. With Luck still sitting there I will snag him up and pray that he is healthy and if he is I may have just
gotten a top 3 QB.
Round 5:
5.1 Alshon Jeffery, WR (PHI)
5.2 Jared Goff, QB (LAR)
5.3 Jimmy Garoppolo, QB (SF)
5.4 Brandin Cooks, WR (LAR)
5.5 Ben Roethlisberger, QB (PIT)
5.6 Josh Gordon, WR (CLE)
5.7 Jay Ajayi, RB (PHI)
5.8 Phillip Rivers, QB (LAC)
5.9 Jarvis Landry, WR (CLE)
5.10 Matt Ryan, QB (ATL)
5.11 Rashaad Penny, RB (SEA)
5.12 Dak Prescott, QB (DAL)
Analysis: Im looking at 3 players here. Ryan, Allen Robinson and Demaryius Thomas. I am not significantly higher on A Rob or DT so I decide to let fate make the decision and I pick Ryan hoping yet again one of these 2 guys falls in my lap on the short turn around.
Round 6:
6.1 Juju Smith-Schuster, WR (PIT)
6.2 Allen Robinson, WR (CHI)
6.3 Demaryius Thomas, WR (DEN)
6.4 Golden Tate, WR (DET)
6.5 Kenyan Drake, RB (MIA)
6.6 Michael Crabtree, WR (BAL)
6.7 Ronald Jones, RB (TB)
6.8 Jimmy Graham, TE (GB)
6.9 Chris Hogan, WR (NE)
6.10 Evan Engram, TE (NYG)
6.11 Marvin Jones, WR (DET)
6.12 Dion Lewis, RB (TEN)
Analysis: Again I was 50/50 between DT and Robinson so I would have been happy with either in this spot though I do believe that Thomas is the safest of the 2. Thomas may never again be the player he was with Manning chucking him the ball, but Keenum is undoubtedly an upgrade over the trash he has played with since then, and I am comfortable with him as a WR2.
Round 7:
7.1 Alex Smith, QB (KC)
7.2 Devin Funchess, WR (CAR)
7.3 Corey Davis, WR (TEN)
7.4 Lamar Miller, RB (HOU)
7.5 Sammy Watkins, WR (KC)
7.6 Greg Olsen, TE (CAR)
7.7 Royce Freeman, RB (DEN)
7.8 Emmanuel Sanders, WR (DEN)
7.9 Will Fuller, WR (HOU)
7.10 Kyle Rudolph, TE (MIN)
7.11 Sony Michel, RB (NE)
7.12 Delanie Walker, TE (TEN)
Analysis: Lately in my mocks I have been waiting until super late to take a tight end, and have not enjoyed what I have been stuck with. Today I decide to grab a guy I feel can finish in the top 5 of his position. Rudolph should flourish with the arrival of Kirk Cousins who has a propensity for throwing to his tight end over the years.
Round 8:
8.1 Pierre Garcon, WR (SF)
8.2 Cooper Kupp, WR (LAR)
8.3 Mark Ingram, RB (NO)
8.4 Jordan Reed, TE (WAS)
8.5 Tevin Coleman, RB (ATL)
8.6 Marcus Mariota, QB (TEN)
8.7 Robert Woods, WR (LAR)
8.8 Patrick Mahomes, QB (KC)
8.9 Jordy Nelson, WR (OAK)
8.10 Julian Edelman, WR (NE)
8.11 Derek Carr, QB (OAK)
8.12 Jamison Crowder, WR (WAS)
Analysis: I know he is out for the first 4 weeks due to his suspension, but I feel solid enough with Hunt and McKinnon that I think I can absorb that blow, and I think when he comes back he is going to be a beast. I love Kamara but he cannot take a beating week in and week out that a lead back needs to, so I think Ingram falls right back into his role he had last season. I will take that in the 8th round anyday.
Round 9:
9.1 Robby Anderson, WR (NYJ)
9.2 Carlos Hyde, RB (CLE)
9.3 Jameis Winston, QB (TB)
9.4 Marquise Goodwin, WR (SF)
9.5 Randall Cobb, WR (GB)
9.6 Eli Manning, QB (NYG)
9.7 Rex Burkhead, RB (NE)
9.8 Blake Bortles, QB (JAX)
9.9 Isaiah Crowell, RB (NYJ)
9.10 Devante Parker, WR (MIA)
9.11 Kerryon Johnson, RB (DET)
9.12 Case Keenum, QB (DEN)
Analysis: I will pound the table again on Parker. I know he has burned you in the past, but he has never had a better opportunity to shine. I will repeat from a previous mock…
The man had almost 100 targets WITH Jarvis Landry on the team. Well, Jarvis took his 150 targets to Cleveland this year. This team will be behind A LOT, so they will throw A LOT. Someone needs to take those 150 targets, and I could see Parker taking about 50 of them. If he does we can make some assumptions: With 150 targets, based on career averages of 59% catch rate at 14 yards per catch, he would have 88 receptions for 1,223 yards this season. Based on career LOWS of a 52% catch rate at 11.8 yards per catch, he would have 78 receptions for 920 yards. While he may finish on the low end of that scenario, he most assuredly will finish with more TDs this season. Jarvis had 9 TDs that also need to find a new home, and
since Parker only had 1 last year, I can promise he finishes with more this year.
Round 10:
10.1 Jaguars DST (JAX)
10.2 Tarik Cohen, RB (CHI)
10.3 Marshawn Lynch, RB (OAK)
10.4 Cameron Meredith, WR (NO)
10.5 Mitch Trubisky, QB (CHI)
10.6 Kenny Stills, WR (MIA)
10.7 Vikings DST (MIN)
10.8 Chris Thompson, RB (WAS)
10.9 Allen Hurns, WR (DAL)
10.10 Marlon Mack, RB (IND)
10.11 Dez Bryant, WR (FA)
10.12 Duke Johnson, RB (CLE)
Analysis: At this point I am scouring for volume. Lynch looks to be the starter again for the Raiders. I know they signed Doug Martin, but as I will repeat for the millionth time in my life Martin is hot garbage. Gruden has said he wants to run the ball, and while that differs a bit from his history, I’ll take the chance on Skittles, even if he ends up being touchdown dependant it could still be a good value for the position, and he can help me cover the first 4 weeks sans Ingram.
Round 11:
11.1 Andy Dalton, QB (CIN)
11.2 Sterling Shepard, WR (NYG)
11.3 Lamar Jackson, QB (BAL)
11.4 Kelvin Benjamin, WR (BUF)
11.5 Rams DST (LAR)
11.6 C.J. Anderson, RB (CAR)
11.7 Tyler Lockett, WR (SEA)
11.8 Rishard Matthews, WR (TEN)
11.9 Nelson Agholor, WR (PHI)
11.10 Aaron Jones, RB (GB)
11.11 D.J. Moore, WR (CAR)
11.12 Marqise Lee WR (JAX)
Analysis: The closer we get to draft season, the more I want Jones on my roster. He is suspended for the first 2 weeks but again, I am deep enough to absorb it. I think Jones won this job last season, Ty Montgomery will have his role in the offense with or without Jones, but it would take a monster couple games from Jamaal Williams to keep Jones away from lead back status in my opinion. If Jones fully takes this job, like I think he will, this is a steal.
Round 12:
12.1 Baker Mayfield, QB (CLE)
12.2 Nick Chubb, RB (CLE)
12.3 Tyrod Taylor, QB (CLE)
12.4 Ryan Tannehill, QB (MIA)
12.5 Jamaal Williams, RB (GB)
12.6 Kenny Golladay, WR (DET)
12.7 Desean Jackson, WR (TB)
12.8 Joe Flacco, QB (BAL)
12.9 Calvin Ridley, WR (ATL)
12.10 Devontae Booker, RB (DEN)
12.11 Martavis Bryant, WR (OAK)
12.12 Giovani Bernard, RB (CIN)
Analysis: It seems that in 2 quarterback leagues I always end up with Tyrod as my 3rd QB. I want to avoid playing the stream game during bye weeks for my QB’s because they are super thin by that point in this format. Tyrod has also never had this kind of talent around him, and though this is Mayfields team in the future, I think that future doesn’t take the field this season. I have kind of backed myself into a corner, with only 3 bench spots left and no backup receivers I am going to have to spend probably 2 of my last 3 picks on the WR position.
Round 13:
13.1 Mohamed Sanu, WR (ATL)
13.2 D’Onta Foreman, RB (HOU)
13.3 Eagles DST (PHI)
13.4 Mike Williams, WR (LAC)
13.5 Anthony Miller, WR (CHI)
13.6 Sam Bradford, QB (ARI)
13.7 Michael Gallup, WR (DAL)
13.8 Josh Doctson, WR (WAS)
13.9 Chris Carson, RB (SEA)
13.10 Trey Burton, TE (CHI)
13.11 Josh Rosen, QB (ARI)
13.12 Paul Richardson, WR (WAS)
Analysis: I don’t usually take a second tight end but Burton at this price is too tempting to pass up. I have backed myself further into that “need to take a receiver” corner, but have target a couple guys that will be there later, I do not believe that Burton would not have lasted through the end of this round.
Round 14:
14.1 James White, RB (NE)
14.2 Terrence Williams, WR (DAL)
14.3 Christian Kirk, WR (ARI)
14.4 George Kittle, TE (SF)
14.5 Josh McCown, QB (NYJ)
14.6 Jared Cook, TE (OAK)
14.7 Ted Ginn, WR (NO)
14.8 Matt Breida, RB (SF)
14.9 Tyler Eifert, TE (CIN)
14.10 Dede Westbrook, WR (JAX)
14.11 David Njoku, TE (CLE)
14.12 Bilal Powell, RB (NYJ)
Analysis: So i have taken chances this draft hoping that guys would fall to me, and so far it has worked out. Now I am down to my last 3 skill position players I am targeting, Christian Kirk, Geronimo Allison and Keelan Cole. I have Kirk and Allison a tier above Cole so I will take the one I like the most. The Cardinals lost over 200 targets in the off season and need someone to catch those balls. Kirk is clearly the second most talented receiver on the roster and should his ability translate to on field success I am very happy to have taken his this late. If he doesn’t pan out who cares….what are the odds my 15th round pick stays on my roster most seasons?
Round 15:
15.1 Geronimo Allison, WR (GB)
15.2 Latavius Murray, RB (MIN)
15.3 Ty Montgomery, RB (GB)
15.4 Legarrette Blount, RB (DET)
15.5 Corey Clement, RB (PHI)
15.6 Theo Riddick, RB (DET)
15.7 Nyheim Hines, RB (IND)
15.8 Doug Martin, RB (OAK)
15.9 T.J. Yeldon, RB (JAX)
15.10 Keelan Cole, WR (JAX)
15.11 Texans DST (HOU)
15.12 Frank Gore, RB (MIA)
Analysis: Damn it. Allison went as the first pick in this round, I really wanted him but already have my backup queued up at this point. Keelan Cole is not a household name, and very well may never be, but this late you look for any stat to separate one guy over another and the one that got Cole on this team was that his led the league in receiving yards over the last 5 weeks of the season last year. The Jags receiving corps is all kinds of unsettled, but if Cole can take over the role Allen Robinson had 2 years ago he could have a breakout season.
Round 16:
16.1 Nick Foles, QB (PHI)
16.2 Austin Ekeler, RB (LAC)
16.3 Broncos DST (DEN)
16.4 Chargers DST (LAC)
16.5 Ravens DST (BAL)
16.6 Bengals DST (CIN)
16.7 Austin Seferian-Jenkins, TE (JAX)
16.8 Sam Darnold, QB (NYJ)
16.9 Saints DST (NO)
16.10 Josh Allen, QB (BUF)
16.11 Seahawks DST (SEA)
16.12 Patriots DST (NE)
Analysis: I wanted the Chargers as I just am a fan of the unit and the individual players that are on that squad, but you have to be blind to ignore the injury bug that has currently taken over Chargers camp, seriously it is an everyday thing at this point that they lose a contributing member…I’ll avoid that like it is a plague and swing for the Broncos defense. I am so excited to see what happens when you put a Von Miller with a Bradley Chubb.
ROUND 17
17.1 Stephen Gostkowski, K (NE)
17.2 Greg Zuerlein, K (LAR)
17.3 Justin Tucker, K (BAL)
17.4 Wil Lutz, K (NO)
17.5 Harrison Butker, K (KC)
17.6 Matt Bryant, K (ATL)
17.7 Matt Prater, K (DET)
17.8 Jake Elliott, K (PHI)
17.9 Robbie Gould, K (SF)
17.10 Chris Boswell, K (PIT)
17.11 Cairo Santos, K (NYJ)
17.12 Mason Crosby, K (GB)
Analysis: Kicker.
