Well, that was an unsurprising game. The Jets did not have much to play for except for contracts for next season. The Bills needed a win to secure the AFC East division. The New York Jets had a hard fighting battle with the Buffalo Bills but lost this game 27-10. There were players on the Jets that impressed and disappointed in this matchup and I will list 5 each in this article.

1. Player Who Impressed - WR Keelan Cole

Last week Keelan Cole was inconsistent against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Cole needed this game to at least have a shot at getting another contract with the New York Jets. Cole did an excellent job and was the only receiver on the New York Jets that produced. Cole even had a 40-yard touchdown in this matchup. Cole did a fantastic job in this game.

2. Player Who Disappointed - QB Zach Wilson

Zach Wilson was not completely terrible and did not throw a pick. However, he was highly inaccurate in this game. Zach Wilson also threw for 87 passing yards. Wilson also had a fumble in this matchup. Hopefully, Wilson will have more consistent performances.

3. Player Who Impressed - DE/EDGE John Franklin-Myers

Franklin-Myers did not statistically impress in this game but had a strong performance in this matchup. Especially when providing pressure to Josh Allen many times in this game. Hopefully, Franklin-Myers plays up to his contract and has a better season statistically.

4. Player Who Disappointed - WR Denzel Mims

I will make this quick when Tarik Black (Who I honestly did not know was on the active roster) has the same amount of targets and snaps with Denzel Mims, and is more productive there is an issue. Denzel Mims is Chris Herndon 2.0 and I won’t be shocked if the Jets cut him next season. What a waste of a second-round pick.

5. Player Who Impressed - LB CJ Mosley

CJ Mosley was the best player on the Jets defense during this game. He had a total of 13 tackles. He was a great run stopper and even was a solid pass rusher as he provided pressure to Josh Allen many times in this game. Hopefully, CJ Mosley continues doing this next season.

6. Player Who Disappointed - OT Morgan Moses

The offensive line was awful this week but most of the o-linemen that started were backups. The one player that disappointed me out of the bunch is Morgan Moses. He was a liability all game as a pass protector and I think he let a bunch of Bills defenders sack Zach Wilson three times. Not a good performance by Morgan Moses in this game.

7. Player Who Impressed - CB/S Michael Carter II

The secondary was a bit of a mess this season and in this game. But the Jets really have something in CB/S Michael Carter. He has shown a ton of flashes throughout the entire season and even in this game, he was solid in coverage. He did an excellent job covering WR Gabriel Davis. Hopefully, Michael Carter continues to get better and better for next season.

8. Player Who Disappointed - S Ashtyn Davis

The Jets did not even start Ashtyn Davis. When he played, Davis was abysmal and continued to show the constant weaknesses that surrounded him. I want to again remind you that the Jets wasted the third-round pick they got in the Leonard Williams trade on Ashtyn Davis.

9. Player Who Impressed - S Jason Pinnock

Pinnock was not the best in coverage in this game but has looked a lot smoother at safety than at cornerback. Pinnock also has strong awareness, especially when making tackles. Pinnock made 6 tackles in this matchup and was a strong tackler. Pinnock could get better in time but the switch to safety has had more benefits than none.

10. Player Who Disappointed - S Elijah Riley

Yikes, not a good performance for Elijah Riley. Especially as Elijah was involved in coverage when the Bills scored their two touchdowns. I remembered the hype that was in Elijah Riley and I gotta admit I have been disappointed in Elijah. I hope he gets better in the upcoming offseason as he showed flashes in brilliance.
