Spooky week #8 was upon us and it was full of upsets that would make any Halloween monster be scared and even have them sent back into their graves. Many players had stand-out performances that were gruesomely amazing and helped their teams walk away with the win. Other players had some showings that were horrifying and wished they would have had a better treat. Below are those 3 winners and 3 losers for week #8 in the NFL.

Losers:

1. Detroit Lions

It just continues to add on again for the Detroit Lions. This football team is heading in a direction that they have seen before and that is a winless season. The Lions have now hit 0-8 after a 44 to 6 beatdown that was handed to them by the Philadelphia Eagles. It has just gotten to the point where you don't know if this team will win a game. The players must feel very unmotivated to come to work and it is going to get challenging every week if the losing continues. One win would help out a lot right now for just a motivating factor. But in the end, the 0-17 record is still alive.

2. QB Tua Tagovailoa, Miami Dolphins

The end of the Tagovailoa era in Miami has to be coming very soon. Tua Tagovailoa had one of those average games on Sunday against the Buffalo Bills. Tua went 21 for 39 with 205 passing yards and 1 INT. Tua did have a sneak for a TD that made the game close but it just was not enough, and the Dolphins fell 26 to 11. There were many speculations that the Dolphins were going to trade for Deshaun Watson this week but that seems to have fizzled away. Even if the Dolphins do not trade for Watson, Tagovailoa will not be the Dolphins QB much longer.

3. Cincinnati Bengals

After a huge win over the Baltimore Ravens last weekend. The Cincinnati Bengals came into week #8 against the New York Jets looking for a blowout win. The Jets were going in starting Mike White at QB because Zach Wilson had an injury that prevented him from playing. The Bengals just did not play as a team, and they were upset by this Jets team with the final score of 34 to 31. It really makes you wonder now about who this Bengals team really is. This happens once in a while in the NFL, and you just must be prepared as a team. Obviously, the Bengals thought this was the same old Jets and just made too many mistakes that cost them the game. The Bengals will have to bounce back next week when they take on the Cleveland Browns.

Winners:

1. WR A.J. Brown, Tennessee Titans

After the league's rushing leader in Derrick Henry went down with a foot injury, somebody had to step up in the Titans offense to give them the win. The player that stepped up was A.J. Brown who had 10 receptions for 155 receiving yards and 1 TD. That 1 TD was a 56 yarder that gave the Titans much momentum in this game against the Indianapolis Colts. Brown had a performance that allowed the Titans to walk away with a close win of a final score of 34 to 31. Brown will be looked into stepping up moving forward with Derrick Henry who may have been lost for the season. The Titans will take on the Los Angeles Rams next week.

2. RB Aaron Jones, Green Bay Packers

Coming into Thursday's game against the Arizona Cardinals, the Green Bay Packers were very short-handed with injuries and COVID problems on both sides of the football. Especially on the offensive side of the ball, the Packers were missing their top 3 WRs in Davante Adams, Allen Lazard, and Marquez Valdes-Scantling. Even with the WRs missing, RB Aaron Jones was able to be a factor not only in the ground game but the passing game as well. On the ground, Jones had 15 carries for 59 rushing yards and a TD. Then through the air, Jones had 7 receptions for 51 receiving yards. This is one versatile back that was the huge reason the Packers walked away with the 24 to 21 win.

3. Dallas Cowboys

This was a huge win for the Dallas Cowboys on SNF against the Minnesota Vikings. The Cowboys were able to win in a 20 to 16 showdown without their starting QB Dak Prescott who was out with a calf injury. The Cowboys won the game with Cooper Rush at starting QB. Rush actually had a pretty good game with 325 passing yards, 2 TD, and only 1 INT. Dallas is now at a record of 6-1 and look to keep the winning going when they take on the struggling 4-4 Denver Broncos. Give credit to Mike McCarthy and the rest of the Cowboys coaching staff by having Rush ready to play.
