With Week 9 now officially completed, there were a lot of games that had a lot of upset and hopefully you guys survived. As always I will discuss the rules for a survivor pool. It is a weekly contest where people select one team straight up per week to win their game. If a team chosen won, then they advance to the next week, but keep in mind that the team chosen can’t be used for the rest of the season. If a team that they chose for that week loses, well they are eliminated from the pool.
So now that the rules are set it is time for me to give my Top 5 options, a trap pick, and a survivor pick I would have made for the week if it was still alive.
1. New York Giants vs Houston Texans
The Giants are coming off a bye week and are facing one of the worst teams in the NFL. I mean take my money am I right, The Giants are the no brainer pick of the week and if you have them this week, then take them.
2. Kansas City Chiefs vs Jacksonville Jaguars
Another easy choice this week. The Chiefs are better in every way than the Jaguars are noww. It seems like the Jags are kind of punting the season, but there is a hard read this season. The Chiefs are also in Kansas City and it is very tough to play there. I would not sweat taking the Chiefs in survivor this week.
3. Philadelphia Eagles vs Washington Commanders
This may be a divisional matchup and Washington is on a hot streak, but Washington is not a great team. Philadelphia is one of the best teams in the NFL and is the clear cut favorite to represent the NFC in the Superbowl. Plus the Eagles have extra time to prepare for this game as remember last week they played on Thursday and this game is on Monday. They basically had a mini bye and should be well prepared to take care of business.
4. Dallas Cowboys at Green Bay Packers
Never would think about choosing against the Packers in survivor. But Green Bay is a lot worse than originally thought, and Dallas is a lot better than I thought. The Cowboys are another great choice this week and while they are not the home team this week, they are a good choice to make in survivor for this week.
5. Pittsburgh Steelers vs New Orleans Saints
This to me is the riskier pick of the week as this game is a Tank game in the Tournament for the 1st Overall Pick. However I think the Steelers are a lot better than the New Orleans Saints are. The Saints not only have more injuries, but don’t have great coaching either. The Steelers have good coaching excluding offense. Remind me why Matt Canada is still the offensive coordinator on the Steelers? The Steelers also being home is a big plus as well, the question is though will the risk be worth the reward?
Trap Survivor Pick - Las Vegas Raiders vs Indianapolis Colts
The Indianapolis Colts are a mess right now. They just fired Head Coach Frank Reich and replaced him with Jeff Saturday who has no head coaching experience in the NFL or NCAA. Which is just a recipe for disaster along with the issues at QB. However, I really can’t trust the Raiders as long as Josh McDaniels is the head coach of this team. Keep in mind that the Raiders are also a horrible team that blew a 17-0 lead against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Colts excluding the coaching are a bit better than the Jaguars are now. Stay away from the Raiders as the risk is just not worth the reward here.

Who I would of went with for my Survivor Pick for Week 10: Kansas City Chiefs vs Jacksonville Jaguars
I can’t take the Dallas Cowboys as I used them in Week 8. I already used the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 3. The Giants I also can’t use as I took them Week 4 in the season. So of course I have to choose either the Kansas City Chiefs or the Pittsburgh Steelers. I am pretty sure you know where I am going this week in order to survive and advance. I would have of course taken the Kansas City Chiefs as my survivor pick this week.
