With Week 16 now officially completed, there were a lot of games that had a lot of upset and hopefully you guys survived. As always I will discuss the rules for a survivor pool. It is a weekly contest where people select one team straight up per week to win their game. If a team chosen won, then they advance to the next week, but keep in mind that the team chosen can’t be used for the rest of the season. If a team that they chose for that week loses, well they are eliminated from the pool. So now that the rules are set it is time for me to give my Top 5 options, a trap pick, and a survivor pick I would have made for the week if it was still alive for Week 17.

1. Kansas City Chiefs vs Denver Broncos

If you still have the Chiefs in survivor, this is your last chance to use them. They will likely rest their starters in week 18 for the playoffs. Denver is an absolute trainwreck with the regression of Russell Wilson, the fights on the sidelines, and Nathaniel Hackett is no longer the coach. So if you have the Chiefs available, just use them.

2. Dallas Cowboys at Tennessee Titans

Another no brainer as around half of the Titans squad is injured and might not play for this game. So If you got Dallas available and haven’t used them, definitely do it now. Don’t wait in Week 18 as the Cowboys will likely rest players against the Commanders.

3. San Francisco 49ers at Las Vegas Raiders

Definitely goes on the list now with the Raiders starting Jarrett Stidham at QB. Let's be real though the 49ers were going on the list no question as I can’t trust a team coached by Josh McDaniels. If you still have the 49ers, this is your last chance to use them as the 49ers are likely resting players against a broken Cardinals team.

4. New York Giants vs Indianapolis Colts

The Giants have been performing well lately and were close to beating the Vikings last week. This week they are facing an Indianapolis Colts team that has punted the season since firing Frank Reich. Plus Nick Foles looked terrible against a poorly coached Chargers team. That is good news for the Giants who should take care of business this week. If you have them now this is your last chance as they will likely rest starters in Week 18 against the Eagles.

5. Detroit Lions vs Chicago Bears

This is a must win for Detroit as they have to win this game in order to make the playoffs with how competitive the NFC wildcard is. The Bears only great player that is not healthy is Justin Fields and the Lions should take care of business. Especially as they play better indoors.

Trap Survivor Pick: Atlanta Falcons vs Arizona Cardinals

This week was a tough one to choose a trap game in survivor. I guess If I have to choose one I will choose the Falcons. Look I get people are probably desperate, but both teams are trying to lose in this game for draft reasons. Arizona may be a trainwreck, but Colt McCoy may be back and players on that team are fighting for jobs. Keim and KIngsbury are likely gone at the end of the season and the players are fighting to get that second contract. I would love to learn Atlanta, but Desmond Ridder has not performed great at all this season. Look I get if you are desperate and are low on options, but just don’t do it as it has Trap written all over it.

Record (5-11) - Week 1: Washington Commanders, Week 2: New England Patriots, Week 3: Buffalo Bills, Week 4: Los Angeles Chargers, Week 5 Tennessee Titans, Week 6: San Francisco 49ers, Week 7: Green Bay Packers Week 8: San Francisco 49ers, Week 9: Cincinnati Bengals, Week 10: Las Vegas Raiders, Week 11: Buffalo Bills, Week 12: Los Angeles Chargers, Week 13: Cleveland Browns, Week 14: Buffalo Bills, Week 15 Denver Broncos, Week 16: Minnesota Vikings

Who I would of went with for my Survivor Pick for Week 16: San Francisco 49ers at Las Vegas Raiders

I can’t choose the Chiefs as I used them in Week 10. The Cowboys I can’t choose as they were my pick for Week 8. The Giants were my survivor choice in Week 4 so they are out. This game came down to the Detroit Lions or San Francisco 49ers. I got to be honest I feel confident that the 49ers will take care of business against a poorly coached Raiders team and I tend to stay away from division games. So I would have taken the San Francisco 49ers in this game.

Record (11-5) - Week 1: Tennessee Titans, Week 2: Cleveland Browns, Week 3: Philadelphia Eagles, Week 4: New York Giants, Week 5: Denver Broncos, Week 6: Los Angeles Rams, Week 7: Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Week 8: Dallas Cowboys, Week 9: New England Patriots, Week 10: Kansas City Chiefs, Week 11: Washington Commanders, Week 12: Miami Dolphins, Week 13: Baltimore Ravens, Week 14: Las Vegas Raiders, Week 15: Minnesota Vikings, Week 16: Buffalo Bills
