With Week 3 now officially completed, there were a lot of games that had a lot of upset and hopefully you guys survived. As always I will discuss the rules for a survivor pool. It is a weekly contest where people select one team straight up per week to win their game. If a team chosen won, then they advance to the next week, but keep in mind that the team chosen can’t be used for the rest of the season. If a team that they chose for that week loses, well they are eliminated from the pool.

So now that the rules are set it is time for me to give my Top 5 options, a trap pick, and a survivor pick I would have made for the week if it was still alive.

1. Green Bay Packers vs New England Patriots

Hands down the number one choice in survivor this week. The Patriots are an absolute mess right now and they will likely have Brian Hoyer at quarterback. Plus the offense is run by two incomptent coaches in Matt Patricia and Joe Judge. This seems like a mismatch and the only concern with Green Bay is if CB Jaire Alexander is going to play. If you have the Packers, take them this week.

2. Detroit Lions vs Seattle Seahawks

If Mac Jones was not injured I probably would have put the Lions at number 1. They have been very impressive the last few games and are extremely competitive for their coach. Detroit will not have WR Amon-Ra St. Brown or RB D’Andre Swift for this game, but this offense should dominate all over Seattle’s defense. The Seahawks, while impressive so far, are not a good football team. Plus with this game being in Detroit it gives them a higher ranking.

3. Dallas Cowboys vs Washington Commanders

The Commanders according to DVOA are the worst team in the NFL. Dallas has been playing well with Cooper Rush at QB. The o-line has been great and the Commanders defense has just not been great. The Commanders desperately need Chase Young back.Plus with Dallas being the home team in this matchup, they should be a solid selection this week. Be wary that this is a divisional game too.

4. New York Giants vs Chicago Bears

There are injury concerns with the Giants, but the Bears also will be without RB David Mongomery and it looks like their kicker Cario Santos is banged up right now. But the Giants are a better team than many think and while Chicago has 2 wins, they really got lucky because the 49ers game was in bad weather and they beat the incomptent Texans. The Giants should take care of business this week and defeat the Bears in Metlife Stadium

5. Minnesota Vikings vs New Orleans Saints (In London) *Only if Jameis is plays*

Now this is a bit of a riskier pick as the Vikings are in primetime and Cousins sucks in prime time. Plus the game is in London as well, but New Orleans is a mess. If Jameis plays, then this is definitely a consideration for survivors as Jameis has a serious back injury and I have no clue why he is still starting. If Jameis plays, then I would bet on the Vikings and definitely use them in Survivor if you don’t feel confident with the choices above.

Trap Survivor Pick - Los Angeles Chargers at Houston Texans

It’s tempting, it really is because the Chargers are clearly a lot worse than originally thought. But the Chargers just can’t catch a break with all the injuries. Now that they lost Rashawn Slater Jr. for the season, The Texans pass rush could be a problem. While the Texans are rebuilding, their pass rush is pretty solid. The Chargers also don’t have Joey Bosa who is the heart and soul of that defense. Plus Herbert is still banged up and I get this is the Texans, but there is no way that anybody should use the Chargers, especially as they are not the home team this week.

Record (2-1) - Week 1: Washington Commanders, Week 2: New England Patriots, Week 3: Buffalo Bills

Who I would of went with for my Survivor Pick for Week 4: New York Giants vs Chicago Bears

OK, So I will not be taking the Minnesota Vikings as there is still no update on whether Jameis is the starter or not for the Saints. I want to wait on Dallas asI think they are a good stash team to use later in the season. The Lions, while I am high on them this week, have plenty of other weeks to be utilized. This pick came down to the Packers or Giants here. The Packers would be a great choice, however the Giants have a lot of great weeks to be utilized in survivor. So I will take the Giants as my survivor pick for this week. I will take the risker pick here.

Record (1-2) - Week 1: Tennessee Titans, Week 2: Cleveland Browns, Week 3: Philadelphia Eagles
