With Week 8 now officially completed, there were a lot of games that had a lot of upset and hopefully you guys survived. As always I will discuss the rules for a survivor pool. It is a weekly contest where people select one team straight up per week to win their game. If a team chosen won, then they advance to the next week, but keep in mind that the team chosen can’t be used for the rest of the season. If a team that they chose for that week loses, well they are eliminated from the pool.

So now that the rules are set it is time for me to give my Top 5 options, a trap pick, and a survivor pick I would have made for the week if it was still alive.

1. Philadelphia Eagles at Houston Texans

What's this, one of the best teams in the NFL facing off against one of if not the worst team in the NFL. Should I go on? Ok I will this is an easy choice to make as the Eagles should absolutely dominate the Texans in this matchup. If you have them available this week in survivor and want to have a stress free week take the Eagles.

2. New England Patriots vs Indianapolis Colts

Even though the Patriots offense is poorly coached with two hacks in Matt Patricia and Joe Judge. Plus Mac Jones and Bailey Zappe struggled this season, I really like the Patriots this week. Especially as they are facing the Indianapolis Colts who are a horrendous team. Even though Sam Ellingher is the QB, the Colts are still struggling and it resulted in their offensive coordinator Marcus Brady losing his job. Definitely a must to choose the Patriots this week.

3. Kansas City Chiefs vs Tennessee Titans

Look, the Titans may be in the lead of the division, but they are a terrible football team. I am still high on Malik Willis, but he was not ready last week and struggled against a horrendous Texans defense. If they can’t confidently beat the Texans, what makes you think that they will be close to doing it against the Kansas City Chiefs in Arrowhead Stadium.

4. Miami Dolphins at Chicago Bears

Both teams made big moves during the deadline. The Bears while acquiring the cancer known as WR Chase Claypool were sellers trading LB Roquan Smith and DE/EDGE Robert Quinn. The Dolphins acquired RB Jeff Wilson and DE/EDGE Bradley Chubb. The Dolphins are going all in, where the Chicago Bears are rebuilding. Although the Dolphins are not the home team, they are another great choice.

5. Buffalo Bills at New York Jets

Ok don’t come after me for putting this game at this spot. The Bills are a great team to choose for this week as the Jets have struggled offensively without OG Alijah Vera-Tucker and RB Breece Hall. This game is a divisional game and the Bills are not home in this game which lowers them a bit survivor wise as a pick.

Trap Survivor Pick - Cincinnati Bengals vs Carolina Panthers

The Bengals were heavily exposed during Monday Night Football as they made Jacoby Brissett look like a Pro Bowl QB. Now I am a fan of Brissett, but he is not a fantastic QB. The Bengals defense is dealing with injuries and their offense is not the same when Ja’Marr Chase is not on the field. The Panthers are a lot better now that Rhule is no longer the coach. If it was not for poor officiating, they would be the division leader of the NFC South. Stay away from the Bengals this week in survivor.

Record (4-4) - Week 1: Washington Commanders, Week 2: New England Patriots, Week 3: Buffalo Bills, Week 4: Los Angeles Chargers, Week 5 Tennessee Titans, Week 6: San Francisco 49ers, Week 7: Green Bay Packers Week 8: San Francisco 49ers

Who I would of went with for my Survivor Pick for Week 8: New England Patriots vs Indianapolis Colts

I can’t go to Philadelphia as they were my pick for Week 3. I still want to wait on choosing the Bills as well due to there being many other weeks in Survivor to choose them. The Dolphins would be a good choice if they are home, so they are not the choice. This game was between the Kansas City Chiefs and New England Patriots. I like the Chiefs this season, but this may be the only week to be confident choosing the Patriots in survivor. So I would have taken the Patriots this week in survivor.

Record (4-4) - Week 1: Tennessee Titans, Week 2: Cleveland Browns, Week 3: Philadelphia Eagles, Week 4: New York Giants, Week 5: Denver Broncos, Week 6: Los Angeles Rams, Week 7: Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Week 8: Dallas Cowboys
