TNF Preview: Los Angeles Chargers (10-3) vs. Kansas City Chiefs (11-2)

This Thursday Night Football matchup is not only a huge AFC West divisional game but also features arguably the two hottest teams in the AFC. Kansas City is sitting at the top of the AFC behind their high-powered offensive attack led by MVP candidate Patrick Mahomes. On the opposite side, the Chargers have an MVP candidate of their own in quarterback Philip Rivers. With that being said, this should be a very fun, shootout type of a game to watch.

Players to watch

For the past two weeks, the Chiefs have missed a huge part of their offense with the dismissal of running back Kareem Hunt. That has been evident as they have had two very close upset bids. To add to that it looks like they will be without Spencer Ware this week due to injury. With that in mind, running backs Damien Williams and Charcandrick West will be called upon to take some pressure off of Mahomes and the passing game. The Chargers will be looking to air it out in this one. Quarterback Philip Rivers should be able to connect at a very successful rate with wide receiver Keenan Allen as they will be matched up with a very shaky Kansas City secondary.

Top 5 Fantasy Players

2. Tyreek Hill, WR (KC)

3. Philip Rivers, QB (LAC)

4. Keenan Allen, WR (LAC)

5. Travis Kelce, TE (KC)

Even with some injury concerns, this will still be an offensive shootout. Two very deserving MVP candidate quarterbacks will be squaring off in what will be a very fun game to watch. I see home field advantage playing a huge factor in this one as the Chiefs will take advantage of a loud crowd behind them at Arrowhead Stadium. This game will come down to the very final possession where I have the Chiefs winning by a field goal. With that being said, it could go either way depending on which team gets that final possession.

Final Score: Chiefs 38, Chargers 35
