With the Trade deadline a few weeks away it gives teams an opportunity to acquire value for players or get a player that will benefit the team. Trades can also help get rid of a player that they don’t want anymore or move a player that does not want to be there. This is what this trade feels like as the Carolina Panthers made a move by trading WR Robbie Anderson to the Arizona Cardinals. The details of the trade are down below.
Carolina Panthers Acquire: 2024 6th Round Pick and 2025 7th Round Pick Arizona Cardinals Acquire: WR Robbie Anderson
Carolina Panthers Side
What a shocker that Robbie Anderson was traded, where is my shocked face at. On a serious note this had to happen as Anderson was likely not going to stick around when Rhule finally got the boot. With the Panthers finally making changes, coaching wise it is now time to focus on changing on the field with the players. Many players are apparently on the block and of course Anderson’s name was on this list. Especially with what happened last week against the Panthers. As he got in a fight with the coaching staff.

It got more worse as Robbie Anderson was such a cancer on the sidelines, that he got the Vernon Davis treatment and was sent to the locker room.

Yeah while he was walking to the locker room, the clock was ticking in trading him and luckily they got a team willing to take on his baggage.
Arizona Cardinals Side
When I first saw the trade I legit said, “What are the Cardinals doing”? However, news came out that Marquise Brown had a foot injury that at the time was reported to be season ending. I understood why they made the deal. However, I am not sure it was a must for Arizona to get Robbie Anderson. DeAndre Hopkins is coming back from suspension and it looks like Rondale Moore is healthy for this week. While there still is potential in Anderson, he could be a distraction in the locker room, so the risk is there.
Grades for WR Robby Anderson
Carolina Panthers - A Arizona Cardinals - B-
Carolina easily wins this deal they get rid of a distraction and get extra draft picks to help on retooling the team. Arizona does not lose either as they get another receiver for Kyler Murray to throw the ball too. A change of scenery was necessary for Anderson, but there are a lot of risks that follow him. The B is for the trade and the - is the possibility of Anderson being a locker room distraction in Arizona. Overall great move by both Carolina Panthers GM Scott Fitterer and Arizona Cardinals GM Steve Keim.
