Good Morning Everybody. Before I start with the recent news about the Dormady Situation. I feel it is important that I address what happened in a previous article that I originally wrote on this situation.
A few days ago I wrote an article titled “How To Destroy Your Career: Starting QB Quinten Dormady”. It focused on the allegations of Dormady giving plays to the opponents and my reaction to the news.
I made some very damning statements when I originally wrote it and while it was uploading on the website more information was released on this topic that proved my statements to be totally false. Especially as now Dormady was being placed on the reserved list and it seems from recent updates that were coming out that I made a tremendous mistake with how I was reporting the news and created the article.
However, there is still no excuse that can be justified for my actions. I have and still do fell really bad and ashamed for the article I wrote previously.
As I have said many times, We grow and we learn from our mistakes and I clearly made one here. The best way for myself to grow as a writer and as a human is for me to take accountability for my actions.
I have already posted a Public Apology on Twitter and I have also personally DMed Quinten Dormady as well. We had a conversation and he forgave me for the article that I have posted about him. He was also glad that I was taking accountability for my mistakes and how it meant a lot that I was apologizing to him. Dormady is a very nice person and I am glad that he was very forgiving to me.
So again I will strive to do better in future and be more accurate with the articles I make.
I have also decided that I will be giving an update as to recent information that has been made regarding the Quinten Dormady Situation and what we know now.
So if you have not heard, allegations were placed on Orlando Guardians QB Quinton Dormady that he had alleged to have been released due to how he gave opposing teams play from the Guardians Playbook.
It then was noticed by many that his stats were seemingly deleted from the XFL Website and many thought that this was damning evidence that Dormady was guilty. Well, it turns out that was not the case.
It turns out that apparently the reason that his stats being “deleted” was more of a data issue on the website. I also found out that it also happened with other players that were also previously released as well. It was a problem that eventually got fixed and Dormady along with other players' statistics were back on the website. The whole deletion of his stats was a complete misunderstanding and blown out of proportion.
At the time as well XFL VP of Communications Jeff Altstadter made a statement where he said
“The League is actively reviewing a personnel issue regarding a player on the Orlando Guardians who was released from the team yesterday afternoon. Additional information on the situation was brought to the attention of the League overnight, and the League has reinstated the player while it conducts a formal investigation into the issue. The situation is under review, and we will share more details regarding the findings as appropriate.”
With time passing it was revealed that Dormady was put on the reserved list while this situation was being investigated. Looking back at the situation to begin with, he should have been put there to begin with instead of straight up releasing him. He is even still on the reserved list today and even have a screenshot of it below

As it looks to me, Quinten Dormady is completely innocent in these accusations and it is going to be very intriguing with what happens next with a law firm in Arlington now launching their own investigation in these allegations.
This situation is not going to end anytime soon, but I think Dormady will be given another chance in the XFL when this becomes more clear.
