It is time to talk gambling line movement for Week 2 of the college football season and Week 1 of the NFL season. Here is the recap of last week’s big movers and the results:

Washington State 58 - New Mexico State 7 - Line moved 1.5 points toward New Mexico State (+31.5). Yeah, when the game sends the losing coach to the hospital, it probably means that they did not cover. Get well soon, Bob Davie! Loss.

North Carolina 24 - South Carolina 20- Line moved 3 points toward South Carolina (+10.5). Apparently, it has been forgotten that Mack Brown has won a National Championship and Will Muschamp has, well, not… Loss.

Mississippi State 38 - Louisiana 28 - Line moved from 2.5 points toward Louisiana (+20). It appears that while the Bulldog offense looked similar inefficiency as last year. The defense looked more like a sieve allowing 427 yards of offense. Win.

Alabama 42 - Duke 3 - Line moved 1.5 points towards Duke (+33.5). Clearly those who took Duke last week have not watched any Alabama football, especially in the season opener and most certainly after a humiliating loss. Loss.

Oklahoma State 52 - Oregon State 36 - Line moved 1.5 points towards Oregon State (+14). A lot of the pundits had the Beavers as a team on the rise this year. However, when one’s winning percentage more resembles a batting average, it is probably still not time to bet on these guys. Loss.

Clemson 52 - Georgia Tech 14 - Line moved 1.5 points towards Clemson (-37). The Georgia Tech bettors were close. However, it is not good for the rest of College Football when Trevor Lawrence throws a couple of INTs and around 150 yards and the Tigers still win by 38. Win.

Army 14 - Rice 7 - Line moved 2.5 towards Rice (+21.5). The good news for the Army bettors was the fact that the Cadets defense looked just as good as last year. The bad news was that their offensive output was nowhere close to last year’s. Win.

This Week’s Big Movers

Wake Forest from -17.5 to -19: The bettors seem to have faith in Wake Forest even though they could cover at home against Utah State. They also forgot that Rice gave a 10 win team all they could handle.

Boise State from -10.5 to -12: The betting world finds this a solid play with Boise playing a mid-range Conference USA team in Marshall.

Maryland from +1 to -2.5: Folks with money saw the Terps throw up a 70-spot against an FCS team and threw money at them. History also shows that Maryland is a very good early season play versus Syracuse.

UTSA from +27 to +25.5: Intriguing movement here as both UTSA and their opponent, Baylor, dominated FCS teams. The money thinks that 27 is too big of a number.

Alabama from -54 to -55.5: Poor New Mexico State. They get boat-raced by Washington State and now get to face Nick Saban. The prognosticators believe that Alabama will hang 60 on the Aggies this week.

LSU from -5 to -6.5: Fascinating movement in this game considering both teams are Top 10 and playing in Austin.

North Carolina from +6 to +3.5: Looks like folks are hoping on the Mack Brown Soul Train against the Miami Hurricanes.

Enjoy your football weekend! Now go pick some winners!
