Blitzalytics Analysis
Line Houston (-3) Over/Under 43.5 Against the Spread - Buffalo (10-6) Houston (8-8)
All eyes will be on the injury report this week as J.J. Watt and Will Fuller are questionable. If both players play, it could change the dynamic of the match-up as the offense improves by 16% when Will Fuller is on the field and it never hurts to have a Defensive Player of the Year back in uniform in J.J. Watt. Buffalo has proven that they can go into hostile territory and win big games. The Bills defense is top-notch allowing only 16 points a game.
The Degenerate Menace Says: Despite the fact that Fuller and Watt could play, the fact remains: Bill O’Brien is lousy in playoff games. Since 2016, the Texans are 1-3 in the playoffs with the one win being against a third-string quarterback in Oakland. Of the two home playoff games the Texans played in that span, they were outscored 51-7. Buffalo is a plucky bunch that has given New England all they can handle in two match-ups and embarrassed Dallas in Arlington on Thanksgiving day. I don’t see any reason why Buffalo can’t win this outright.
Predicted Score: Buffalo 23 - Houston 21
