Strengths
Daesean is a surgical route runner. He is consistent in his routes, smooth in and out of his breaks. He gives his body to make catches, even when he knows he is going to get blown up. He has a good frame for a slot target. Coaches rave about his effort, and willingness to coach young players.
Weaknesses
Hamilton doesn’t have a second gear. He gets off the line and plays through a single speed. While he is a good route runner, he isn’t sudden in or out of breaks. Lack of speed puts a lot of emphasis on him being precise.
Big Picture
Hamilton is a well put together slot receiver. He has a good frame and carries his weight well. He showed up when his team needs him the most. Coaches have said that he is a leader, someone who goes out of his way to teach them. Hamilton does well to make plays with the ball in his hand. He is a precise route runner and gets himself open. Hamilton should be a late Day 2 or early Day 3 selection. He will be a good fit in the slot for a passing team that has speed on the outside.Hamilton doesn’t have a second gear.
