Williams has strong agility and can be fast on occasion. Williams is a beneficial asset when he is in man to man & press coverage. He has smooth hip fluidity which helps provide him an advantage in coverage along with the way he utilizes his hands. Williams has strong Ball Skills and does a great job getting to the high point. Williams does like to engage blockers and will do what he can to disrupt the offensive flow. Williams plays with aggression and has strong confidence most of the time. He can be versatile on special teams. Williams is a strong communicator and has solid play recognition. Williams does not have the quickest feet and is inconsistent with his balance. The question to be asked now is will capture the agility and speed coming off a Torn ACL in 2022? Williams struggles in Zone Coverage and has a habit of grabbing offensive players' jerseys. Williams needs to recover quickly when he makes mistakes. He needs to do better at being quicker when closing in on opportunities. He does not take the greatest pursuit angles and has a habit of overshooting as well. He must clean up his tackling technique as he does not wrap his arms well or consistently finishes his tackles. Not the most versatile on defense. I have Williams as a late 2nd, 3rd or early 4th round prospect in the 2023 NFL Draft.
