Webb is going to be an interesting draft prospect because of his great combination of size and speed. He can be effective at any level of the secondary and should only get better over time as he gains familiarity at the safety/cornerback position. Webb will be most effective as a safety in a high looks and can play as the nickel when needed. He can fit in the run game and should be able to play as a three down guy if his defensive back skills improve at the next level. The worry about Webb is his lack of ball skills when the ball isn’t in front of him. He struggles to make plays on the ball when the receiver is level or past him and needs to work on getting in-phase on receivers over the top before attempting to make a play on the ball. Webb will drop in the draft significantly due to his lack of production at Georgie and lack of experience at the DB position but he should be given a chance by a team on day three of the draft. Expect to see Webb go in the later half of day three. I expect him to go in the 7th round. If a team values his size and athletic ability at the DB position, he could easily be reached on and go as early as round 5-6, but round 7 is a more conservative draft position.
