BAL
A physical edge defender that rushes the passer with good aggressiveness and explosiveness. Is very good with his hands when engaging blocks. Mixes his power and finesse moves at a good rate when rushing the passer. Will set the edge and purse backs with a good amount of speed. Can be a versatile piece that can play with his hand in the dirt or standing up as an OLB.
Weaknessess
Being flexible and having a total control of his balance at the POA is his biggest flaw. Being able to have that consistent jump off the LOS when the ball is snapped is not present as well. A high running motor that covers range needs to be developed for the sake of improvement in all aspects of his game.
Big Picture
Arnold Ebiketie is a very physical and explosive edge defender that has the talent to be used in either a 3-4 or 4-3 defensive scheme. On film, he lined up with his hand in the dirt in a 2, 3, and 5 technique. However, the best of his pass rushing play did come out of standing in an outside 5 technique. This is a edge defender that knows how to use his hands to his advantage when engaging with the opposing offensive linemen. Many times, he was able to slap down an offensive tackles hands to gain an advantage around the bend of his rush. More development in balance and flexibility would go a long way in improvement for this player. Can mix his power and finesse moves well to gain good rushes on the QB. At times, he would play too tall, and linemen were able to easily push him out of the way. In the run game, he can explode into the C and B gaps and make a clean tackle on the ball carriers. A bigger motor and range would allow his play against the run to improve even more.

Lateral quickness will flash when playing against the run. Can pop quickly into holes and tackle the RB into the backfield. Not very flexible and does play too tall at times. Needs to develop more bend when coming around the edge. Can get off balance at times which results in a poor rush. Strong play strength and offensive linemen had difficulties controlling him at times. Does have some explosiveness and it will flash when making contact with a ball carrier.

Big Play Ability
Does not always have that consistent quick first step off the LOS. Does use his hands at an excellent level when rushing the passer and playing against the run. Knows how to slap the offensive lineman hands down to gain that quick edge around the corner or inside. When lined up in a standing 5 technique, he rushes the passer much more effectively than in a 3-point stance. Being able to use his leverage, power, and speed to his advantage grants him with the ability to rush the passer at a good level. Can use both speed and power moves at a very good level when finishing at the POA.
Against The Run:
7.3
Will set the edge and purse the ball carrier with good explosiveness when it is a clear run to the outside. Did over purse a few times which caused a running lane for the back to hit. Can stack and shed but at times, would get pushed backwards when forced/spun to the inside of B gaps. Does not have a large range to cover ground but has enough quickness to shoot either the B or C gaps. Will make strong and secure tackles in space or when he gets his hands on the ball carrier.
