TEN
Great athleticism that can beat any tackle and a developing power game. First step punctuated by top level bend and twitched up lower half. Bull rushes are dominant when connecting. A smart versatile player who can play interior and exterior in a variety of roles. Great footwork and total balance to keep the blocker at bay.
Weaknessess
Developing run defensive game. Often has trouble disconnecting from blocks when he loses leverage in the run game. Upper body and lower body does misfire on occasion. Although he showcases the ability to drop back, he wasn't asked to do it much.
Big Picture
Thibodeaux is a potential first overall selection who was great out of the box as a freshman. The former five star recruit has the potential to reach heights that similarly athletic Jadaveon Clowney never reached as he's more fundamentally sound. Ideally, he goes to a 3-4 outside linebacker based team or to a wide 9 schematic such as the Titans to best utilize his immense athletic gifts. He's a lock to go within the top five. Has been EDGE1 for the longest time and may be suffering from prospect fatigue at this juncture.

Showcases great lateral agility in open space situations despite size. Has great bend and burst coming around the corner. Explosive first step from anywhere. Displays above average play strength in that he has multiple moves in his arsenal. Plays with great balance, no wasted movements and is generally upright when not being held. Athleticism is a plus plus.

Big Play Ability
Elite first step and quick twitched. Powerful use of hands on most reps. He plays with great leverage but can be held up in some instances. Displays quite the arsenal using the power or speed rush. Finishes the play quite often but at times becomes lacksadasical if play isn't near him. Bull rushes are in development but they are really good. Brute strength although he is labeled as a finesse rusher. Rarely gets pancaked if at all.
Against The Run:
7.5
The prospect sets the edge well enough but needs improvement. Stacks up the offensive line and sheds the blocker at an above average level. Top level range regardless of starting point. Chases the backside on most occasion. Uses both brute power and pure speed to split the gaps assigned to him. Rarely misses a tackle and doesn't get beat to the perimeter often.

Toughness | Consistency/Motor | Disruption |

8 | 9 | 9 |
Great toughness to fight through injury and mentals. The motor does not quit and will often chase plays. Consistently dominant to the point that offenses have to scheme him out of the plan. Immense disruptive ability that frees up teammates to finish plays. Offensive linemen have to hold him to get him out of the play.
Intelligence:
8.5
Displays good general awareness of the situation. Play recognition can be way above average when he's right. Position versatility is top level as he used in an off-ball role, hand in the dirt edge, and as an interior defender.
