vs. Houston (2021), vs. UCF (2020), vs. Temple (2020)
Being a physical offensive lineman with power is one of his biggest strengths. Show good promise in both the passing and running game. Gets off the snap of the ball with quickness to give himself an advantage at the POA. Will down block opponents in front of him with straight power. Can handle bullrushes at a good level because of his flexibility and anchoring ability. Will use his hands well with quick jabs in the passing game and has strong grasps to keep defensive linemen close in the run game.
Handling stunts and quick speed rushers off the LOS is an issue that he must work on. Is not an offensive guard that pulls and comes out into space at a high level. Needs to keep improving on his balance when engaging blocks. Handling those finesse rushers at a consistent level will only improve play around him.
A very solid OL prospect coming out of Memphis that likes to be physical at the POA. Dylan Parham has experience playing RT and RG in his young career. Parham is very good at getting off the snap with quickness to make a block on a defensive lineman in front of him. Will make reach blocks on the A-gap defender but having better lateral movement will only improve his play more. Parham does use his hands in both the run and passing game to keep defenders close to him. When pulling in the run game, he tends to lack in his ability to get to his intended block. Moving to find his blocks needs to improve at the NFL level. Will get out in screens but maintaining his balance has to happen more often to take that next step. What Parham is very good at is handling bull rushes and power moves to the inside. Even if he gets pushed backwards, he is able to hold onto his block because of his flexibility and leverage. Having experience playing RT really has impacted his ability to be a solid anchor out of the OG position.
Good quickness when coming off the snap of the ball. His flexibility really stood out when handling big and powerful interior linemen that would try and use their straight size to an advantage. Not the quickest lateral agility but was able to make blocks from the B-gaps into the opposite A-gaps. Did show good balance and explosion when handling rushers. This is an offensive linemen that wants to win with power and drive his opponents into the turf.
Big Play Ability
Movement off L.O.S.
Pull & Block Outside
Adjust in Space
Use of Hands
Movement off the LOS is at a good level. He knows how to be quick off the snap and gain that early momentum to push the 3 or 2 technique DE/DT backwards. Best blocking is done when he has to down block a defensive lineman in the run game. Can make solid reach blocks when slanting into the A-gap quickly and with explosive power. When he has to adjust to a defender that has more speed and quickness, he did miss a few blocks. Pulling and making a block into the next level of the defense does need more work. Will use his hands to his advantage when grabbing and keeping a linemen close to his body.
His leverage when being an anchor is at an excellent level. Can handle those bull rushes and power moves that push linemen back. Needs to work on resetting his feet if a quick finesse move is thrown his way. Will get out to find blocks on screens and quick passes to the RBs. Can recover and combat inside moves with good strength. Will quick set with good quickness and explosive jabs to keep rushers at bay. Mirror ability was not shown a whole lot but was able to keep defensive linemen in front of him at a good level.
Ability to Combat Inside Move
Is a tough offensive lineman that wants to finish any block that he attempts. You can tell that he likes to be physical when engaging with a defender. Wants to punish that defender that is in his sights. Has a solid motor and shows good consistency in both the passing and running game.
Not a whole lot of communication with the QB, needs to improve in the area. Stunts that were thrown his way with speed do give him a challenge. Is a versatile offensive lineman. Did plat RT in 2020.
