Strengths

Maintains a low, wide base and wins with strength and leverage. Mean attitude with a high motor. Mauler in the run game. Heavy hands and strong grip to punch and control defenders. Moves very well pulling down the line or to the second level. Explodes out of stance and moves defenders off the line. Quick first step in pass sets. Shoots hands to lock out rushers. Sinks and anchors extremely well. Absorbs contacts and stops rushers in tracks. Versatile, can play multiple positions.

Weaknessess

Occasionally aggressive to a fault, lunging at defenders to explode through and finish blocks early. Gets off balance while lunging, ends up on the ground. Hands can get outside and lose leverage at times. Needs to clean up hands mistakes to cut down on penalties.

Big Picture

Green was a highly touted recruit being the top rated prospect in Texas coming into college. Living up to the hype, he started at RG as a freshman and receiving All SEC Freshman Team honors. Continued success at LG earned him All American honors the next two seasons. As a Junior, Green played games for the Aggies at LG, RG, RT, and LT and had success at all spots, only giving up one sack over two years. He is an absolute mauler in the run game and would thrive in an offense that features movement from their guards in the run game. He can anchor in the pass game and neutralize strong bull rushes up the middle. Green is one of the top interior offensive linemen in the draft and should be drafted in the first two rounds. He best projects as a day one starter at Guard who could fill in at Right Tackle in a pinch.
