Strengths
Very athletic and big interior lineman, who is an absolute mauler. Great at pulling and making blocks down field. Understands the importance of blocking the first level and then climbing to the second level. Great at pass blocking, he really knows how to mirror his opponent and combating almost anything thrown at him. He also has fantastic field awareness, as there are many times he picked up a crucial block and it came from behind him.
Weaknessess
He can sometimes lose his balance when blocking, but it's usually just him trying to do too much and overextends himself. Can struggle when adjusting in space and miss a block. Can sometimes get too aggressive when blocking smaller and might miss the block, because he is so focused on flatten his opponent.
Big Picture
Meinerz is a big time prospect out of Division III UW-Whitewater. He is a very technically sound and nasty lineman. Very smooth in his movement and ability to get up field. Has great hip quickness that allows him to snap into position, no matter which way his opponent is coming from and his hip movement makes him excellent at pulling. Unfortunately he did not have a 2020 season due to Covid, so the only action we saw from him this year was at the Senior Bowl and he made that count. I think he was the most impressive lineman to play Senior Bowl week, as he truly dominated every opportunity he saw. He really embodies everything there is to being an offensive lineman and he has a big personality, which will make him loved by teammates. Being a D3 player and not having a season might make him fall a little, just because there isn't enough tape to go off of, so I think he will be selected anywhere from the 2-5 rounds.
