Strengths
A very big, athletic and rangey linebacker. He is versatile and can play many positions on a defense. He is a smart player and has great play recognition. He is very lengthy and is excellent at getting into a QBs passing lane and breaking up a pass. Whether in coverage or rushing the passer, he really knows how to use his length and affect throws. He has a motor that never quits, which sets an example for hist teammates, to never give up on a play. When he does rush the passer, he uses his speed and agility to beat an offensive lineman. He is strong finisher too, no matter if it's against the run or pass.
Weaknessess
Not the strongest of linebackers. He struggles in pass rushing vs a quick lineman, because if said lineman gets a hold Snowden, he has a difficult time shedding the blocker. Strictly a speed rusher, he has a very limited range of pass rush moves. Plays too conservative and can get washed out a play, because he doesn't have strength or techniques to get a blocker off of him. I think that is his biggest weakness, because someone his size and athleticism shouldn't regularly be blocked by TEs and WRs.
Big Picture
Snowden is a lengthy and very athletic linebacker, who can fill multiple roles in a defense. He is sometimes classified as an edge rusher, but he would have to improve in many aspects to be a good NFL pass rusher and so I personally feel OLB fits him best. He has excellent range and can be a sideline to sideline type player. He will need bulk up a little and gain more strength, but I believe he has the skill set to be a very good linebacker. He is a very smart player and has great play recognition, which helps make him very effective against the run. He understands coverage and has the speed size to cover the top TEs in the league, which is incredibly valuable in today's game. There are parts of his game that definitely need some work before throwing him in as a starter on defense, but he will have an instant impact on special teams and as a defensive role player.
