His best attribute is his intelligence. He always plays in structure and his processing helps him leverage his gaps and cut off running lanes for the RB and force them to make quick decisons with the football. His play strength and length help his shed blocks to make a play on the football. Has experience as a safety, linebacker, and an edge rusher.

An average athlete with no special traits at his size. Tight hips in space make him more of a liability in coverage than I would be comfortable with. Plays much better in traffic than he does in open space, his pursuit angles could be more consistent. Struggles to break down and finish tackles, it's like he doesn't know how far away from the ball carrier to best break down.

Projects best as a 2 down SAM backer in a front where he can come downhill and play in the trees often. Would not fit in a defense where the LB needs to be rangey and fly from sideline to sideline. Though he played some safety, he could end up being a liability in coverage so I wouldn't deploy him on passing downs early in his career. His experience as a S should give him a solid foundation in coverage schemes/responsibilites, while similarly his time as an edge should do the same with his blitzing effectiveness. The tools should be there for him to develop into a more complete player.

Reggie Ragland

Large frame that carries his weight well. His best quality is his play strength, he hits blockers with power and sheds blockers with ease. Average speed and explosiveness for his size, plays faster dues to his coaching and processing but acutal athleticism isn't stellar. Has tight hips, apparent when he drops in coverage as his change of direction is clearly lacking.

Big Play Ability

He played EDGE a decent amount at Cincinnati, however as a off ball blitzer he isn't anything more than average. His best feature in this area is his timing to trigger downhill and time up his rush. If youre in pass protection as a running back and the blitzing LB is your assignment, good luck.

Hips are tight in coverage, has clear issues changing directions in the open field. Has experience playing safety and he triggers like one when closing on a route. Is a liability in man coverage as he doesn't possess the movement skills to match up with most receiving TE and especially not RBs. His length is a major factor in helping him make plays on the football in coverage and is his saving grace.

His best attributes is eating and defeating blocks. His length and play strength help him body up blockers and shed to make a play on the ball. His pursuit is average, as he can get beat in a footrace by most ball carriers to the field side. His tackling leaves a lot to be desired as he doesn't break down well in space and goes into tackle attempts too high.

Plays physical in the trees and enjoys the fight. Played through a shoulder injury in 2019. Was never a team captain through 3 years in the program. Improved his volume stats every year at the college level.

The best attribute to his game is his ability to procces quickly and play sound defense. He rarely misses an assignment and he plays sound football and DCs will love him. He has played edge, LB and S at the college level.
