High football IQ leads to Lloyd quickly diagnosing pass plays and disrupting pass lanes by getting his hands in the air or by anticipating the route and creating interceptions. He can get small and find gaps to beat blocks.

Shows some inconsistencies in his in his pursuit angles. Lloyd can also get caught in awkard angles if not able to disengage blocks in appropriate time to make plays.

Played safety, receiver, and punter in high school (Otay Ranch, CA) also lettered two years in high school basketball. After a redshirt season, he began on special teams for all 14 games in 2018. He finished his career at Utah with 43 tackles for loss as well as five career interceptions. He also started in 32 of 47 career games. All that translated to Lloyd being on top of a lot of people's boards as the top linebacker in this draft class. His ability to make plays as well as his ability to lead should translate to a great career in the NFL.
