The first thing that stands out about Cole is his size, standing at 6'3. One of the strengths of Cole's game is his ability to fly to the ball. He has solid downhill speed and a good motor. If a ball pops loose, expect Cole to be one of the first to dive at it, not only because of his high motor, but also because of his ability to always be around the ball.

While Cole has decent speed for his size, he's not really fast enough to excel at the next level. He also looks a little lean for an inside linebacker, and could stand to put on 10-15 lbs. He sort of feels like a tweener: at his size, he should be faster and at his speed, he should be bigger.

Cole will likely make a team but as a seventh round pick or UFA. Don't expect him to ever be a consistent NFL starter. At best, he'll be a productive special teamer and depth player on a team who doesn't really need linebacking help. He might even be stuck on a practice squad for a couple of years, at least until he can put on some weight. One thing Cole has going for him is the fact that he did see a huge uptick in production in his final year at South Alabama, recording 96 tackles (up from 59 his previous year).
