Team Fit

Strengths

Ultra-productive college QB. Has NFL size and can throw deep down the field with ease. Confident in his arm and threads the needs in double coverage routinely. Shows accuracy to all levels of the field when he has a clean pocket to operate in. Plus arm and delivers a catchable ball.

Weaknessess

23 yr old QB prospect. Athletically limited for a QB at the next level. Slow, stiff lower half. Late to recognize pressure and unable to evade once he feels the rush. Accuracy falls off when the pocket isn't clean or he has to throw on the move. Turnover prone (both INTS and Fumbles). Played against lower level of competition in SWAC.

Big Picture

Glass produced all-time type numbers in the SWAC and was a force offensively; however, the athletic deficiencies overshadow a NFL frame equip with a certified arm. There is too much bad tape of Glass trying to survive under pressure to buy into the statistics and highlight reel that lead you to believe he has a chance to produce at the next level. He will struggle to keep up with NFL speed and teams will likely view him as an UDFA that can give receivers reps in camp.

Player Comp

Athleticism:

5.25

Heavy feet and still legs; fringe athlete at the QB position in today's NFL. Stuggles to evade the rush and produce if he doesn't have a clean pocket. Sitting duck for defenders in the pocket. Doesn't look comfortable throwing on the move. Tested poorly at the combine to confirm what we see on tape; will always be replaceable athletically. Not a threat to run when things breakdown.

Release is elongated; would like to see a quicker release and more uptempo delivery. Turns his entire body as he goes through progressions; significant tell of where he's going with the football. Arm strength is there to throw 50+ yds downfield. Very accurate under 10 yds and shows plus accuracy to all levels of the field when he has a clean pocket. Under pressure, accuracy falls off of a cliff. Ball placement is okay, but too many throws unnecessarily outside of the frame of his receiver. Footwork is not consistent; lacks rhythem and tempo in his drop. Accuracy drops significantly on the move.

Came into 2021 season highly decoraded. Ultra-productive QB, abelt against lower level of competition. Stands tall in the pocket but looks very uncomfortable if the pocket isn't clean. Easy target for defenders and has had his share of fumbles when hit. When things break down, he needs to tuck, sit, and live to fight another down.

Late to recognize pressure. A lot of programmed one-read throws. Forcres throws to first read without regard for coverage at times. Makes some very poor decisions under duress; plays hot potato and just unloads into open space. Needs to protect the ball better (4 INTs vs. Grambling). Throws recklessly over the middle into coverage; sometimes it works in his favor for a chunk play; turnovers are prevelant though.
