Strengths
Hall possesses some incredible intangibles such as vision and patience that makes him a threat any time he touches the ball. He is extremely agile and deceptively quick. Once the ball is in his hand he has the potential to take it to the house no matter where he is on the field as he has a unique ability to create seperation at the second level. He possesses the ideal size and strength to be an every down back at the next level. He is a high motor guy, who has no problem sticking his nose in there to pick up an extra yard.
Weaknessess
Hall does not possess burner speed. He too often is indecisive in the backfield causing negative plays. He tried to do too much at times when trying to make a defender miss, which causes him to lose balance and take big hits. He is a good pass catcher, but does not have the speed to create seperation on his routes. At times he took plays off when he was in pass protection. A major concern for him is that he was a workhorse in college and has a lot of mileage on him.

Big Picture
Hall is one of the best running backs in this year's class.. He is a home run hitter that has the right blend of power, size and agility to play every down. He has elite vision and patience that pairs well with his unique ability to make defenders miss at the second level. He does not have the elite speed that teams look for in the NFL..However he appears to have a 2nd gear at the 2nd level that allows for him to bust big plays. Teams will be hesitant to take him early in the draft due to his high snap count in college but Hall is the perfect back for a one cut and go system where he does not have to make too many decisions in the backfield. If he can find the right system, he will be a day 1 starter and make an immediate impact his rookie year. Look for a team to grab him late 1st to early 2nd round.

Big Play Ability
Hall's field vision is 2nd to none and is the best in this year's class of running backs. His cutting ability allows him to bust any play into a home a run. He flashed great pad level and leg drive when picking up short yardages. Hall never fumbled the ball at the college level...elite ball security.
Receiving:
7.06
Hall is a natural catcher of the football and when he gets the ball in space...look out. He was never tasked with running a lot of routes other than swing passes and check downs. However he flashed enough ability to be a legit 3 down back. He lacks elite speed to create a ton of separation.

Hall has the strength and balance to be an effective pass blocker. Many times he put his body on the line to absorb a blitzing linebacker. He will need to refine his pass pro technique in order to avoid costly penalties at the next level. Hall was never really asked to lead block. He did seem to take plays off at time when in pass protection.

Hall is as tough as they come. He has no problem putting his body on the line to pick up an extra yard. He was uber productive at Iowa State... number don't lie. He has a high motor and is willing to do anything and everything to put the ball in the endzone.

Hall's instincts and patience go hand in hand. Hall's patience is a gift, it allows him to let the play develop in front of him and pick up big chunk plays. Hall has the traits to be an every down back, making him a versatile chess piece at the next level.
