Strengths

Strong and very athletic RB that wants to fight for every extra yardage that he can get. Has all the moves that you want in an RB and is the total package. Was able to makes defenders just look silly in space. Has outstanding lateral agility that allows him to make very sharp cuts. Is able to throw very affective stiff arms that grants him separation between him and the defender. Knows how to use his lower center of gravity to his advantage when driving in short yardage situations. Has that sick sense of noticing a small creases to make a play happen after initial contact. Will find the clear running hole and has above average vison. Does not cough up the football and can outrun the entire defense if given a chance. Shows the fight and willingness to compete for his football team.

Weaknessess

Does not have a huge amount of productivity when it comes to the receiving aspect of his game. Is not a huge Achilles heel but being able to be that dominate factor in the pass game coming out of the backfield just makes it tougher on the defense. Needs to develop more in his route running to grant him that next huge leap. Majority of his routes were simple 5-yard curls our out routes. Can pass protect but when defenders were given a huge about of space or used pure power, they were able to get around him.

Big Picture

The electric and physical Kenneth Walker III is a 5’10” 210-pound RB that runs with the complete effort that you want in your backfield and most importantly on your football team. This is not an RB that is going to have the league’s most explosiveness or top end speed, but certainly has one of the most complete athleticisms that is certainly clear of tape. Walker III has an outstanding ability to cut on a dime and fight for extra yardage by breaking initial tackles from defenders. Defenses are not going to bring him down with arm tackles. This is a back that is effective at running with power to grant him extra yardage. Walker III does need to improve at being constantly patience with the blocks that unfold in front of him. At times he was very aggressive in hitting a designate area on the field which could grant him an ability to make a big play, but also backfire on him at the same time. The ability to be a complete threat out of the backfield in the receiving game does need to improve. As time goes on, Walker III should be able to improve his receiving aspect but also his blocking aspect as well. Was not a total liability in picking up defenders on blocks but did get exposed at times. Overall, Walker III is the best RB prospect in this draft class. The amount of physically gifted traits that he has cannot go unnoticed. This is a back that is going to fight for whatever team drafts him.

One of the most athletic backs in the draft. The ability to COD with great lateral movement and elusiveness simply pops of film when he runs. This is an RB that knows how to use his leverage to his advantage when embracing contact with defenders. That contact balance is a main benefactor of why he can break multiple tackles on a run. Does not have super explosive speed but enough juice in his acceleration to break away from multiple defenders in the open field for 6.

Big Play Ability

His ability to read blocks or find that second hole to make a positive run on a play. Fighting for that extra yard is a huge part of his game. Multiple times he would make a second or third read and gain positive yardage to keep those chains moving. His cutting ability in space with defenders certainly is above average. Being able to not only make a defender miss in space but to simply use his lower pad level to his advantage in short yardage situations was evident. Did not caught up the ball once in his previous three seasons.

Receiving:

7.56

Was not used a whole lot in the receiving game. Was able to make some solid catches out of the backfield. However, most of his routes were simple out or curl routes. Must develop more in his route running ability to be that every down back at the next level. There is no question that he his dangerous in space and can separate from defenders based off his electric elusiveness and aggressive running style.

Blocking:

Will show effort and passion when picking up oncoming rushers in the pass game. Is not going to be a huge mulling blocker but does do a good job of setting his feet and blocking with a balanced frame. A couple of times defenders were able to get around him with given space but expect his skills in the blocking aspect to improve when he arrives to the next level.

The production was clearly obvious in 2021. This is a tough and physical runner that you want carrying the ball for your team. Certainly, does not shy away from contact and will throw powerful stiff arms. Has that long running motor that allows himself to be a true 3 down back at the next level.

Intelligence:

7.58

This is not a super versatile back but was able to flash and make plays in the receiving aspect of his game. Has above average instincts when fighting for extra yardage or making a defender miss with a certain move was present. At times, he was too aggressive in not letting certain blocks develop which would result in him running into a block.
