Has the quick, agile feet and change direction underneath. Morgan plays with solid speed and with his play strength. Morgan has solid hip fluidity which helps his ability to mirror offensive players along with changing directions. Morgan shows flashes of being an excellent playmaker with his strong ball skills. He has the ability to make a play quickly and can get to the high point. Morgan plays with aggression and has a motor which showcases his competitiveness. Christian Morgan is willing to engage with blocks along with getting physical with defenders. He is also a great tackler and can hit with power. Morgan has solid play recognition and can be a great communicator on defense. Morgan has position versatility playing both free and strong safety. He has the tools to be a solid linebacker which is where Baylor lined him up at times.
Weaknessess
Morgan does not have the best posture and it shows in his stance along with the way he bends in coverage. He struggles in Zone Coverage and must to do a better job recovery as he at times does a slow job recovering when making mistakes in coverage. He is not the best blitzer, but there is potential there. It all focuses on consistency as he is not the most consistent or confident playmaker and with his coverage ability. He is a bit better in Man to Man Coverage, but still struggles and it is showcased through his mediocre Hip Fluidity. Morgan has range, but could do a better job taking better pursuit angles as he can sometimes overshoot.
