Excellent athleticism and speed. Smooth hips and clean footwork. Great awareness and instincts to recognize plays and react quickly. Experience in multiple coverages and ability to play anywhere in the secondary. Physical mentality and good competitor. Very good open field tackler. Rangy defender on the back end
Has room to add some bulk to his frame and needs to in order to support in the box at the next level. Also could struggle covering tight ends who could effectively box him out. Needs to turn and run on vertical routes a step sooner to not put himself in bad spots.

Hill chose Michigan over Alabama in his recruitment and was a three year starter for the Wolverines. His role on the defense grew each season and Hill responded well with a standout season in 2021. He played all over the secondary and even some linebacker in sub dime packages. Hill has the plus athleticism to lock down the slot in man coverage or take away the deep areas of the field as a one high safety. He is an effective blitzer from the slot or coming down in the box from the safety spot. Though he could add some muscle mass to give him some pop, he throws his body into tackles and is effective tackler in the open field. Hill projects as a weapon for defensive coordinators to move around the secondary from nickel corner to deep safety. He should start as a rookie and projects to be drafted towards the start of day two with a shot to be taken in the first round.
Lean, athletic frame with long arms. Very good quickness. Smooth athlete with fluid hips. Great burst out of breaks. Clean transitions with good footwork. Doesn't lose speed on change of direction. Has room to add some bulk to frame
