Lacks hip fluidity in man coverage and needs to clean up both his feet and hands in press. Accels in off man and zone which allows him to keep his eyes on the QB while dropping into coverage. Reads routes and makes educated breaks on the ball. His quick reaction time and elite speed make him a very rangy safety. He consistently made plays he had no business even being apart of. Very aggressive when the ball's in the air and fights to dislodge at the catch point.
Weaknessess
Pitre has a tendency of being too aggressive, both in coverage and against the run. He takes bad pursuit angles and can miss tackles in the open field due to being overly confident in his speed and athleticism. He struggles in man coverage against quick footed, route running wide receivers. His tight hips and false steps allow WR's to create seperation.

Big Picture
Free safety, strong safety, corner, nickel, linebacker and edge, that's what Baylor asked of this man on the field and he delivered. The 2021 Big-12 Defensive Player of the Year and Consensus All-American racked up a staggering 75 tackles, 18.5 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, 2 interceptions, and 3 forced fumbles. Team's looking for a do-all safety have to love what Pitre showed on film over the past two seasons. He's a high upside early day 2 selection who's ceiling requires a creative defensive coordinator who's willing to recreate a similar hybrid role.

He's a ballhawk, elite blitzer for a DB, and features an uncanny ability to always be around the ball. His closing quickness flashes on film, consistently eliminating space in zone, making breaks on the ball and coming down hill in a hurry.
