The ability to be a force coming from the third level of the defense and make solid tackles on ball carriers is a huge part of his game. Being able to be versatile in both the running and passing game makes him a safety that many NFL teams would like to have. Has the athleticism mixed with aggressiveness that allows him to be a huge assist in the run game when shooting into gaps while playing down in the box. Does not have big-time range in his coverage ability but still can coverage WRs, TEs, and RBs at a good level in man coverage situations. The ability to diagnose route patterns and plays was evident on film. The total ability to have fast closing quickness allows him to be a valuable defender.
Weaknessess
Playing the deeper half of the field in coverage could improve more. This is not a safety that can consistently sit back and drop into coverage. Best fit is as a strong safety, plays his best football when attacking and moving forward. Can be too aggressive at times, which allowed big plays to happen if he over pursed. Being able to improve his COD skills will help his game a lot. Dropping his hips at the top of the route when a receiver does will give him a better advantage at attacking the football/receiver. Receivers that ran quick double moves, were able to gain a good amount of separation in man coverage. Playing with more balance and patience will allow him to take that next step.

Big Picture
The aggressive 6’1” safety out of Penn State is Jaquan Brisker. Brisker is a very confident safety that will be a huge assist in the run support for any defense. Brisker has the closing quickness, speed, and agility to move around and make big time tackles for his team. This is a safety that should be used more as a strong safety instead of a free safety. Many times, Brisker would come down into the box and play man coverage on an intended receiving target. Brisker also has the ability to play strongly against the run by firing into running lanes and shedding of poor block attempts. This is a defender that is not afraid to attack any offensive player. Brisker can play back into coverage at the safety position but more development in his hips has to happen to allow him to improve his coverage ability deep down the field. Brisker was able to flash his potential in reading and attacking plays as they development. Jumping routes and swatting down passes did pop up on game film. Being aggressive and attacking a play at full speed helped and hurt him at the same time. Being more patient, balanced, and not over pursing on ever play can improve his play greatly. Throughout the 2021 season, Brisker was battling through a shoulder injury so it is evident that this is a tough football player that any NFL team would like to have.

Has the quickness and speed to move around the field at a high level. Is not going to be a huge coverage safety but was able to make some big-time plays. The foot quickness really showed when he was able to shoot into gaps and make plays into the backfield. Does not have the fastest lateral agility but still was able to move relatively well. Is a strong player that is not afraid to stick his nose into any play. Needs to play with more balance and flexibility, was playing too tall at times but very good athleticism in this player.
