Big hitter safety that thrives playing downhill. Good size and length. Great closing speed. Quick feet with decent lateral mobility. Can navigate through traffic and disengage from blocks. Flashes good ball skills. Solid coverage ability in the short/intermediate zones
Weaknessess
Lacks top end speed to patrol deep or sideline to sideline. Questionable man coverage ability. Struggles in play/route recognition. Shoots in the wrong gap and takes himself out of the play. Occasionally takes a poor angle or comes out of control and misses the tackle. Looks for the big hit over wrapping up

Big Picture
Physical player that relishes making the big hit. Has the length and quickness to be effective in short and intermediate area zone coverage. Has shown good ball skills to break up passes or create a turnover. When he commits downhill, has burst and closing speed stands out on tape. However, doesn't read/recognize the play well and ends up out of position too often. Needs to have better control and secure the tackle/use length to wrap up instead of going for highlight stick and missing. Limitations in coverage ability will leave him as a pure box safety with some potential in special teams coverage units. Projects to be a pick towards the back half of day three in the Draft
