Strengths
Very versatile player that can be moved all over the field. Very explosive in space and poses a large threat to the defense. Is dangerous vertically but still shows excellent lateral agility. Has deep top end speed that can stretch the field for the offense and allow openings to form in the defense. Shows good instincts and has a good work ethic. Has a good release that allows for separation from his man to make a play.
Weaknessess
Has a lengthy injury history. Does not show much motivation in plays where his role is to block. Doesn't hold the man he is supposed to be blocking very long. Broken right fibula in 2017 is an injury to keep an eye on. Also has battled injuries with ankles and hamstrings throughout college career.
Big Picture
Deebo is a very special talent and is known as probably the most versatile pass catcher in the class. Injuries have been an issue in the past, however when he is healthy, he shows why he is a household name. Coming back from the broken fibula last season, Samuel had the best season of his career this year. He had the second most receiving touchdowns in the SEC and has been #1 in kick return touchdowns for three straight seasons. Deebo will be able to contribute right away to whatever team drafts him. His versatility will be a huge bonus and will really help to get some offensive creativity started.

Displays good quickness that helps him cut and get open on routes and he has excellent agility on the field which shows why he is used in so many different ways. He shows a great center of gravity and is usually able to stable himself after being knocked off balance. Very flexible player and displays this often. Has the ability to twist and turn to make difficult catches. Shows this as a runner as well with oily hips. Shows good change of direction that allows him to be very dangerous in the open field. Makes him lethal on punt or kick returns. Samuel shows fantastic explosion off of the LOS that helps him get by his man and get down field. He often times is able to lose his defender without too much of an issue. Is not lacking in deep speed. Shows he can hold speed for distances and is not often run down from behind by defenders. Seen as a very big "blow by" threat to defenses.

Big Play Ability
Great quickness and ability off of the LOS. Shows an array of stutter steps and two step moves that help him get his man off balance and allows him to gain the upper hand during the route. Plays a physical game style that helps him get off of the jam. Often out muscles the DB to get past him and get down field. Shows he can beat his man to the spot and reacts well to the DB trying to counter him. Exceptional route runner. Knows the route tree and is used in many different variants. Shows solid separation due to his physicality and release. He separates with ease and is often given a lot of cushion by corners due to his dangerous speed. Seems uninterested in blocking quite often. Lacks the motivation to run to help a fellow teammate get down field.
Ball Skills:

Has strong hands and good hand-eye coordination. Can be fighting off a DB but have the hand strength to catch and grasp the ball firmly to avoid an incompletion. Always fights for extra yards after he is hit and keeps his legs moving forward. Very tough to bring down and works for every yard he can get. Has a strong body that is built to withstand hits. This allows him to make contact with another player but keep his balance to continue moving. His ability in space is outstanding. Shows good shiftiness and elusiveness. Shows why he is used in sweeps or punt and kick return situations. Shows solid ball security and does not put the ball in harm's way often. Keeps the ball close to his body and shows the awareness to wrap it up when defenders are closing in.

Displays solid toughness. Not afraid of contact but has shown a history of injury issues in the past. Production throughout his career has been good. During the two seasons he was healthy, Samuel's numbers were very solid. Has a good motor. Has been seen to lose motivation in blocking situations however. Has solid consistency in his game. Comes to play everyday and plays a large role in the offense and different positions. Plays special teams as well.
Intelligence:

Shows excellent instincts as a receiver and football player overall. Knows how to react to situations as a receiver and shows good awareness of his positioning. Knows his role in the offense. Showed the ability to grow as a player through his time at school. Cleaned up his game and worked on his weaknesses. Probably the most versatile pass catcher in the class. He is used as a WR, RB and punt/kick returner.
