Strengths
Shakira is uber competitive and is a high character player. He is extremely versatile and poses a threat from anywhere on the field. He has a twitchy release, which allows him to create seperation from the snap. His agility and speed give him the ability to rack up YAC. He has elite body control and focus to haul in highlight reel passes. His motor and lack of fear is exhilarating to watch and does not allow the defense to take a play off when covering him.
Weaknessess
Shakir's biggest concern is his size. He has short arms and struggles to catch the ball in traffic as a result of it. He has no value as a blocker on the perimeter. He never shies away from defenders, which means he takes a lot of big hits because of it. He has to work on working back to the quarterback to come up with more of the contested throws. Although he is fast, he lacks a 2nd gear.
Big Picture
Shakir is everything you look for in a playmaker. He plays with a lot of heart and grit. He is one of the most versatile receivers in this year's draft. Although he has short arms, he does not let that get in the way of being a walking highlight reel. Between his twitchy footwork and elusiveness...this guy is a home run hitter every time he gets his hands on the football. He will have to work on adding muscle to his frame and avoid taking big hits. He has the potential to be an extremely effective chess piece in the right offense. If a teams uses him like a Deebo Samuel ot Ty Montgomery so that the defense can't predict what he does next...look out. Look for a team to take him very early day 3.
