Strengths
Vasher's biggest strength is his size and ball skills. He has great body control that pairs well with his large catch radius. He has the ability to high point the ball and utilize his strong hands to come down with balls in traffic. He is a major red zone threat, just throw it up and reap the benefits. He possesses great straight line speed for a big bodied receiver. He has an explosive get off for his size. He is a capable blocker on the perimeter and once he is engaged, it is over for the defender.
Weaknessess
Vasher is stiff out of his breaks and cuts. He steps outside his frame causing rounded routes. This limits his ability to create seperation from the defender. His route tree is limited. He only runs a few routes with effectiveness. He is lean for his body frame, which could pose a threat to his ability to make an impact at the next level. Vasher character issues are a concern. He has been benched for disciplinary reasons and takes plays off. His motivation is a serious concern.
Big Picture
Vasher has a lot of upside due to his size and ball skills. His combination of size and jumping ability poses a major threat to NFL defenses in the red zone. He has the ability to make highlight reel plays. Although he lacks lateral agility and his route tree is limited he has great straight line speed and body control that has the potential to lead to some big plays, which was seen at Texas Tech. However, he will need to be in a system that compliments his skill set. He will also need a team and culture that can iron out his character issues. If he can add muscle to his lean frame and work on his off the field issues. He could be a day 3 steal in the draft for a team looking to upgrade their red zone offense.
